This car represents the year the corvette really got good, and I am talking about from the beginning of the corvette. This is the best car for 1988 less a Callaway. New for 88 were 17" wheels, a revised suspension and brake package, a roller cam motor with aluminum heads and much more. A stock 88 L98 4+3 car will do 160MPH. No corvette prior to this can do that other than the Callaway or the 1 only total race car L88 Lemans car. This is not a 4+3, however the automatics are a very nice drivable car that always run good. If you can find one of these cars with low miles, in good condition for a good price, buy it. Its money in the bank. The 35th Anniversary Corvette is already showing signs of high resale, and they have just reached 22 years old. there were only 2050 of these cars produced, of which many are probably no longer around! this is #1602! this car was never registered outside of florida, has only had one registered owner, and it has just 59k original miles! this car runs and drives absolutly phenomenally, with zero drivability issues! it has a few small issues that i may address, but no promises, before pickup! one is the drivers side power seat works every way besides forward, i will most likely have this resolved before pickup, the other, the cluster lights up nice and bright and can be seen very clearly, however none of the numbers or moving instruments show up or move (pic included)! otherwise everything seems to work perfectly, including ice cold a/c, the power mirrors, windows, locks, and all other options! i will get into detail now so you can bid with confidence! mechanically this car is 100% turn key, problem free, road ready! i have never driven a comparable corvette that runs and drives as well as this one! it is very tight, it has no rattles, shakes, shimmies, wind noise, leaks, etc, etc..! even over railroad tracks i noticed this one owner, low mileage beauty did not even make a rattle or so much as a peep! thats remarkable for a 22 year old corvette! the top is removable of course, it has no leaks and does not even have a bit of wind noise even at high speeds! its one of the quietest corvettes i have driven as far as road or wind noise, it has none! the motor runs very strong and smooth! the tranny shifts right on point, perfect! it has no service lights on, no fluid or exhaust leaks, 4 brand new matching tires, and as stated, it goes down the road unbelievably well, free of any rattles or noise! outstanding! the exterior is of course bright white and it shows very, very well! the body is of course free of any rust, damage, scratches or blemishes, and the finish has a great shine! the color coded factory wheels, brand new tires, 35th anniversary badges, tinted removable roof, gorgeous white paint, sharp body style, and of course the fantastic condition, all give this corvette a very nice look! very clean, very straight, and very sharp and sporty! the hood and front bumper have been repainted, as it had a light hit back in 97, over 13 years ago, and it was done very well, looking as factory as i have ever seen a repainted panel! i would love to meet the man who did it! just a super job! nothing has any damage anywhere on the exterior! the window/door insulating mouldings are not weathered or cracked! really just a perfect looking exterior, in remarkable condition! the interior is of course 2 tone white leather with all black accents! very sharp! it has the 35th anniversary emblem and manufacture #1602 mounted on the console! the white leather seats, door panels, etc..., show perfectly, no rips, tears, burns, cracking and very little wear! the embroidery in headrests is perfect, and the carpet is either brand new, or it was kept covered since new! the glass top is in great condition! the options include power windows, locks, mirrors, seats, tilt, cruise, a/c (ice cold), am/fm delco with bose sound system, and more! this interior would certainly be considered very close to mint, for a 22 year old car, in anyones book! i have seen these cars ending here on ebay from right around $8000 to $15000 and never meeting the reserve! well here we go, best reasonable offer wins! this car is in fantastic condition, cosmetically speaking, and even more so mechanically speaking! bid with confidence, get a super deal, on a super nice, very rare car! please read below, as well as my payment instructions, before bidding! feel free to email any questions! thank you, good luck, and do not miss this car!!
