You are bidding on a 1988 SAAB 900 Turbo. This little gem runs & drives very well, but there are some things that it needs in order to be truly roadworthy. Like most Saab's made during this time, this vehicle has the Turbo package, although it is a rare car(and even rarer down here where I live. I've only seen one other one in the 8 years I've been here). I am selling the vehicle as is for anyone wanting to repair it, but I am also open to selling it for parts as finding parts for this particular vehicle are rare. There are some minor repairs and some more major ones as well that need to be done. Brake work will need to be done the most as the emergency brake isn't working and the power brake booster needs to be replaced as well. The CV joint on the passenger side needs to be replaced. The timing chain has also started to rub against the cover and will eventually need to be fixed(better sooner than later). The rest is more minor: the passenger tailight needs to be replaced and the car would like to be repainted. Other notable things are the tires and the driver seat. The tires still have good tread on them but the front passenger side tire has a slow leak. The thread on the driver seat cushion has snapped due to the last driver(he was a VERY big guy :) ) and will need to be redone although you can still sit in it....you just sink a little in the seat. Other than these things, it's a great car. As another eBay seller stated: "the last of the REAL Saab models"(GM bought half of SAAB in 1990, so they were no longer exclusively made in Sweden). I just replaced the battery. I intended for this to be my project car, but I am unable to do so at this time, so I'm letting it go unfortunately. This is excellent for anyone looking for a project to fix up that has the money(I would guesstimate at least $1000.00 or more to get the some of the major stuff done based on my looking around, but it all depends).
