PICTURE YOURSELF BEHIND THE WHEEL!! 1999 was the 35th Anniversary of the Mustang, Ford also redesigned the car for 99. Then Steve Saleen enhanced the car with his modifications. I have up for auction a 99 Saleen Speedster of a 35th Anniversary Mustang that is finished in Chrome Yellow with a Charcoal interior. In 1999 Saleen released a total of 170 S-281 convertibles and of those only 21 were Chrome Yellow. Mine is one of a very limited number of convertibles that has the Speedster Option. My car is one of the 99s featured in Brad Bowlings' book "THE SALEEN BOOK". A 99 Chrome Yellow Speedster (with the supercharger option) was one of the cars Saleen used when releasing his 99 models to the media, it is shown in Bowlings' book. My car remains today as Saleen released the car, it is probably as original as any 1999 Saleen. It has never been modified in any way. The car has never been used for daily transportation but mostly for top down cruising. We try once a year to travel the entire Blue Ridge Parkway in the car, top down of course! This car does not have the supercharger option but has most other options offered by Saleen in 1999. To date the car has a total of 60,218 miles, pretty low miles for a 10 year old car. In addition to the speedster cover I also have one of the optional hard boot covers (see picture) plus a soft boot cover, included with the car. This car also has the optional 35th anniversary instrument surround. The car is kept in a closed garage. The car has always been serviced on a regular basis. All fluids are synthetic with Mobil 1 in the engine. The only things that have been changed on the car are the brakes, serpintine belt, hoses, battery and fluids. The paint is all original and over the course of 10 years has some minor chips but you have to look hard to find them. The chrome wheel option has a set of new tires with less than 2,500 miles on the tires and front end alignment. The interior is in excellent shape and is clean. The car does not have a warranty and is being sold as is but I can tell you that I do not know of a thing wrong with the car. If I did it would already have been taken care of before I listed the car for sale. If you decide you might want to bid and have any questions, please ask before you place a bid. The remainder of the auction amount will be due within seven (7) days. Payment of the balance can be cash or cashier's check. If the payment is by cashier's check I will not release the car or title until my bank verifies the funds are in my account. You may also pay the balance by paypal.
