It's with regret that I need to put this beautiful van on the market. Every few years we as a family come up from Australia to visit our families in the United States. We have a large family so we need to get a large vehicle for a short time and that is the reason this 2004 Chevrolet Express 12 passenger van is up for sale. It's time to go back to the land down under!! This van has spent most of its 6 years in the State of Florida operating as a shuttle for motel-airport passengers and has had an excellent maintenance in appearance and function. We have driven it for the last 2 months without incident; driving almost 9000 miles and it hasn't missed a beat. It doesn't use oil more than a 1/8" drop on the stick in 5000 miles, it doesn't smoke and it handles like a new one. My mom, who went along to pick up the van in Fla. said it drove better than their Park Avenue Buick! Unfortunately there are a few blemishes on the inside as is to be expected for this high mileage and age. The CD player is not working but the AM/FM radio does fine. Some of the buttons and knobs are faded on the Radio.The drivers side sun visor is missing the little peg that locks it into place but it still stays basically in place without it. The driver's side reclining lever is also not working. I just didn't take the time to take it apart and look at it.There are a few spots and scuffs on the dash and on the carpet but all in all it is very clean and tidy! The good news is that there is so much good to write about! This van has the OnStar calling security system. I did not look into it to see what all is needed to get that going but everything on the mirror lights up and is activated when a button is pushed. So I am assuming it is all good to go! It has dual A/C and works beautifully in the front and the back. The electric windows,seats, and mirrors are all working well. It has a very smooth shifting transmission with a button you can engage for towing to make it easier on the transmission. It has dual air bags and (2)12 volt power points. This van has the luxury of double doors on both sides and these are hard to find. On the outside there are a few scuffs and very small dents but nothing that warranted getting fixed. I did put a brand new tire on the passenger front because there was a puncture too close to the sidewall. So there is a bit of a mismatch on the rubber tread. I was getting around 18 mpg with a big load so I believe you could easily get 20 mpg on the road. It has a towing hitch on the back with a 2" ball and a 4 pin flat that I used to pull the trailer I have listed We will need this vehicle until we leave to go back to Australia on the 10th of May! I wish I could put it in my suitcase and take it back with me but the jolly steering wheel is on the wrong side!
