1991 Alfa Romeo Spider Veloce I purchased this beauty from a dealer in California two years ago. Then I registered it in CT and have a clear title. It lives in a garage all year round. and has only 73.9 K miles. It was used strictly as a warm sunny day only-top down car. My girlfriend hates to see it go. Strong engine that runs out to redline with no problem, and it has Bosch fuel injection that needs no maintenance. She shifts perfectly in all gears, the 2nd gear synchro never crunches.Polished valve cover looks sweet. Updated CD player with a removable face plate. New battery, ignition wires, plugs, filters, oil servicing done by a local Alfa shop. All the lights go on; the horn has the Italian Alfa sound; the interior fans work; 2 speed wipers work; the power windows go up and down quickly; the trunk release, gas door release, hood release all work as they should. All four tires were new when I bought the car, the spare has plenty of meat left on it. The clutch is smooth to engage, it tracks straight and true cruising at 65+ mph. Sounds great too. The top is in excellent condition with no leaks, the rear window is as crystal clear as new with no discoloration anywhere, and the factory tonneau is included. The trunk is dry, with all the factory lining in place. Seats are the factory original Italian leather/suede, with no rips or tears. You can smell the leather. Embroidered Alfa floor mats included. Here’s what needs attention- the usual stuff: windshield washer doesn't squirt, power mirrors (can be adjusted manually of course), A/C doesn’t engage - might be the switch, might be the compressor - it didn't matter to me, you might feel the same. There's a small 1/4 inch crack on the top of the knee pad on passenger side about the size of a pencil tip, it's barely visible. The dash has a small blister on top, which is the size of a quarter. The previous owner must have tried to fix it with black silicone, but it's not visible because the car has a custom fit dash cover. The car is 19 years old and has recently been painted the original white color, but not by me. The car shines in the sun. Did I mention NO rust? NO: salvage or missing title problems, flood history, mileage stories, rust in the usual places, idiot lights on, or other issues. I took it for the CT emissions test on 4/15/10 and it passed with ease, and I renewed the registration. I can drive it all summer, or you can buy it now and enjoy. See pictures. Ask questions.
