99 Ford Windstar dual slider minivan Kind of long description but please read!!! HOOD IS NOT DENTED MUST BE A SHADOW Let me tell you about this van. My husband and I purchased this van for $400 with a bad transmission in it for our son to be able to get our granddaughter back and forth to Iowa City for her Chemo treatment. We figured about $1000 for transmission and the van already had a new engine installed by Ford. Well here is the story. We got the van home took it to the transmission shop. The bill ended up being $1605 for the transmission. It sat at the transmission shop for 5 months while they did the work and we came up with the money. Then we got it home. (meanwhile our son found a different vehicle) Neither front window would work so we decided before we try to sell it to recover our now $2000 investment we would fix the windows. We discovered the both window motor and regulators were bad. $75 each. ($150). So then it came time to sell it. I went to license it and discovered that it cost me $312 so now at that time we were into the van $2462. We put a for sale in it in our yard. Had a few tire kickers but we noticed that the rear tires would go flat after a could days so I took the van into the tire shop and had new tires installed. $413.45. So at that point we were invested into the van $2875.45. I drove it home. On my way home I noticed it just didnt ride very smooth. Seemed as tho it bounced alot so I had my husband look into that. Both rear shocks bad. $50. Now at this point we are into the van for $2925.45. It sat in my yard for a few weeks with more tire kickers coming by. Last week we needed to go to a town about 45 minutes away, my husband said "hey lets take the van and get some miles on it" so we did. Needless to say the alternator went out on our venture. $214 plus new belt $32. Now we are into the van for $3171.45. So we decided lets go all out and put new brakes etc on it too. $200. Now that brings my cash out of my pocket investment to $3371.45. I have drove the van about 600 miles since all the work has been done on the van. Everything seems to work great on the van including ICE COLD A/C. The heat works, radio works all 4 windows open and close with switch. Tires are new, motor has 23,XXX miles on it, transmission has 500 miles on it with an 18,000 warranty. I wouldnt be afraid to drive this van anywhere. (of course not offroading it is a minivan). My reserve is lower than the Buy It Now. Please dont ask me what it is. I have the vehicle for sale locally so I reserve the right to end the auction at ANYTIME. This is my bottom dollar on the van. I am not going to be listing it a 4th time on eBay. Please do NOT bid unless you can complete the deal. I will NOT sell to International buyers as most are a scam and cost me money. Buyer must send a $500 deposit within 3 days of close of auction. Balance due 10 days of close of auction. The van can sit here for a little while but I am not a storage lot.
