My son bought this car about 8-9 years ago and it was definitely worth what he paid for it. It had 58,000 miles and cost $7000. The timing belt was replaced as a condition of the sale. The motor has never had any issues, unfortunately the electronics have, the abs hydraulic unit does not work. The computer for the suspension needs replaced (had stereo equipment in the hatch and couldn't get to it without removing all of it) The amp and sub have since been removed. Now the problem is intermittent and for some reason haven't been able to figure out what is going on with it. It runs great but without warning will shut off and after a couple hours pass will restart. Just don't have any rhyme or reason as to why or how often. It has been to more than one shop and just can't pinpoint the problem, just educated guesses mostly. Just can't justify spending the money on guesses, anyone with any experience with these cars knows parts are costly. Most are leaning toward the computer and it was replaced once (autoecms.com). I guess the bottom line is my son has grown tired of the car. Hopefully the car can go to someone who has experience with it or needs parts for their own. Car will need to be hauled away.
