For sale is a beautiful 1983 Honda CM450A Hondamatic motorcycle in factory original black with Achilles Black (gray) inserts in the gas tank and side covers, and color matched factory hard saddlebags. It is extremely rare to find a motorcycle of this vintage with only 4,478 original miles and with the factory saddlebags. The Honda even has the original factory stickers on the gas tank and speedometer! The bike is in great shape, has always been garaged, starts and runs well, has current PA inspection, good tires and battery and is completely roadworthy. Everything works as intended. The CM450A is a 450cc parallel twin, with dual Keihin carbs and dual exhausts. It tops out at 100 mph and weighs 390 lbs. It has electric and kick start, and a two-speed automatic transmission, so there is no clutch, but you do need to manually shift between high and low range with your left foot. The lever on the left handlebar is not a clutch lever, but instead, the parking brake. Braking is done with a single hydraulic disc up front and a very strong drum in the back. The seat is very roomy and comfortable and has been modified to accept an adjustable Honda backrest, which can be removed if not desired. The saddlebags lock with the included Honda key. The saddlebags can also be removed for a more narrow ride. The bike has a side stand and a center stand. There are some slight scrapes on the lever ends, mirrors and saddlebag crashbars, but nothing major. The gas tank, fenders and side covers are in excellent condition, as is all the paintwork and chrome; however the right side cover is scratched into the decal only. The bike is garaged in Mount Wolf, York County, Pennsylvania, about an hour north of Baltimore, MD just off of I-83.
