I purchased it from the original owner in Northern California and drove it home to Oregon 600 miles without an issue over a year ago. It has a Carfax guarantee with clear title and clean history. It took me quite a while to find a rust free low mileage E34 M5, and I've put only about a little over 1000 miles since I've owned it. I only drive this car only on nice days and weekends. The motor runs strong and transmission shifts smoothly and quietly. I changed the oil with Redline synthetics on the transmission and rear differential, and used Mobil 1 synthetic on the engine. When I bought the car the trunk lid had a dent on top from somebody backing into the car in the parking lot, there was no other damage than the trunk. To fix the issue, I replaced the trunklid with a used OEM trunklid. I still have the original trunk lid for anyone who wants to restore the car to have all original matching VIN tags. Since it's a California car the paint needs help, it has minor sun burns spots, scratches, door dings. There are some rock chips on the bumper and the front lip has peeling on the paint. It still shines but it is going to need some refinishing down the line. The interior is really nice, just minor bolster wear on the front seats which can be re-dyed, and the rear door panels starting to delaminate which may be able to be repaired. I also took it to my friend who is a mechanic at a BMW dealer here to look it over, and the car checked out well. He did note a few minor things like the SLS (self leveling suspension) had a leak on the rear right shock, and there's minor leak on the power steering line. But said all these are very typical to E34’s. The car can be driven trouble free the way it is, Everything on the car is 100% stock except for the style 5 BBS wheels with almost new tires on it.
