Up for auction is a very nice example of a 86 Porsche 944 Turbo. This car was bought from a local bank with the intention of reselling. Of course being in the business I did drive this car for a little while to experience it and address some issues but it’s now ready for a new home. In the next couple paragraphs I will describe this car the best I possibly can. If you have any questions at all please give me a call or email. Exterior The exterior is in super nice shape for a 24 year old car. It has some paint work here and there but only looks cosmetic. There are no big dents or scratches on the car and gets a ton of looks sitting in front of my shop. The car on a lift does not look like it has been in an accident. The car was originally black so it is not a repaint by any means. The wheels are perfect and look like a recent addition to the car. I’m not 100% sure if these are factory Fuchs or replicas but they are staggered and are in new condition with no rash or blemishes. The tires all match and are BF Goodrich. They have good tread 60-70% and are smooth and pretty quiet. One of the front fog lights is cracked and there is a rock chip here and there on the front end but all very minor. Interior The interior is in very nice shape. The leather is original with no rips or tears on the seats. There are a couple of loose interior pieces but all in all it is nice. The steering wheel is aftermarket but very cool. The previous owner must have had an amp and possibly a subwoofer but now only a couple of wires remain.. The head unit is aftermarket and does not play sound through the speakers due to not having an amp. I’m not a stereo guy so I left it alone. The dash is original and not cracked. There are speakers added to the original door panels and are missing speaker grills. Everything seems to work. Like I said before… I gave this car a proper road test. I did have to send the gauge cluster off to North Hollywood Speedo to fix the tachometer. When I first got the car the tach did not working making the car not very fun to drive. The mileage has NOT been altered. The mileage on the cluster is true and can be backed up on the Carfax. Mechanically As soon as I bought this car I did a timing belt and water pump. I also had a new DME relay installed as well as both left and right front wheel bearings replaced. The whole car was looked over at Red Bone Garage which is a very reputable shop in Orlando. These are the only things they recommended being replaced. The car drives great, it does NOT smoke under acceleration and it does NOT leave a drop of oil on the garage floor. The car has a slight rattle from the exhaust at low RPM but that’s pretty much it. The clutch and brakes are great. No grinds from the tranny. The AC is ICE COLD and has been since I got the car.
