I purchased this 1966 coupe approximately two and a half years ago and immediately started gutting the interior. Everything was ripped out. The car came out of Nevada and had no rust on it, so no panels needed replacement. Rust free paint was put onto the floor to ensure it stayed that way and the whole car was insulated. The glass was pulled while the doors, dash and rear panels were painted a cream white. A new headliner and carpet was installed along with reupholstered seats, new dash pad and package tray. It has a new stereo made to look like the original and speakers that consist of almost a $1000 system with an ipod or mp3 jack and spot for a disk changer. I also still have the old radio. The car's heater was totally redone and keeps it warm. Almost everything on the interior is brand new. Trunk carpet was put in and cushions the trunk area. The wiring has all been upgraded. The engine was pulled so the compartment could be painted and now runs like new with many new parts and upgrades. The exterior was then sanded down and any imperfections were repaired before the new paint job. A hood scoop, side scoops, GT front racing apron and GT rear end were installed on the car along with dual exhaust through the rear valance. Just one year ago, the car was painted a deep blue with two light silver racing strips down the middle of the car. The tires are new with a spare in the trunk and two extra rear studded snow tires. The hub caps are all new and look just like the originals. This is a beautiful driver and definitely a head turner. It starts right up and continues running like a dream, it's practically a new car. Thanks for looking! I also still have many original parts off of the car like the front chrome bumper and the front valance that I will send with it if the buyer wishes. Make me an offer!!
