This is a 1970 chevelle ss not a clone but i do not have a build sheet to verify, it has a 396 motor that is a 1969 but the chevelle was built in feburary of 1970 so was told by many that this could very well be the original motor but i cannnot be sure? I do not wish to mislead anyone just saying i do not know for sure just going but what i am told, i did get a certified appraisel done in june of 2008 and he has wrote on the appraisel numbers matching 1970 chevelle ss but like i said I DO NOT KNOW THIS FOR SURE. The car shows 81,000 miles and the odometer does work but no idea if it was turned over or not or how many times??? I bought this car with big plans to do a frame off restoration but that never happend, this by no means is a show car, IT NEEDS TO BE RESTORED it looks good from a distance but who ever did the body work before was a hack and must of been in a hurry because it shows, everything is there just FAR from perfect, the 396 motor runs very strong, this car is very impressive, will light the tires up the first 3 gears and chirp the tires going into 4th, also is VERY loud it has headers going into 3 inch exuast ground pounders, sounds sweet when you get into the throttle but the neighbors wont like it for sure (lol). The trunk has surface rust but no holes or rot the frame is in out standing condition as well as the floor boards, now for the bad, the inner fenders are plastic and the one on passangers side that holds the battey tray cracked and now the battery tray is being held with bungie cords, so it will need a new inner fender on the passenger side, drivers side is perfect, no cracks anywhere, the interior of the car also needs help as u can see in the pics, drivers seat is missing some of the leather and the arm rest on the doors are cracked and missing some of the material as well, passanger seat and the back seat are in very good shape with no holes or cracks, lIKE I SAID EVERYTHING IS HERE JUST NEEDS HELP, was told the gear in the rear was a 411 but it is the 12 bolt posi that i do no for sure, also was told by many that the 4 speed trans is a rock crusher, i had this car for sale last year before taking it off the market and these are the things i was told by some of the people who came and looked at the car, I'm being as honest as i can be but i am not a car guru and know very little about these classics thats why i took it in for a appraisel, he appraised the car at 18,500 the way it sets in june of 2008 i set my reserve way less than that, i do not have to sell this car so please do not insult me with a low ball offer, thats why i pulled the car of the market last time, too many idiots showing up thinking i was going to give this car away for nothing! I do not need the money so please dont low ball!
