Here is the famous 54 Chevy Belasir " Orange Crush " gasser drag car that terrorized the drag strips of west Texas back in the day . When I found the car it was still wearing its orange and white ( with gold pearl and flames ) war colors ! I found this car in Odessa Texas several years ago in a garage and noticed it is a total rust free Texas car and the enamel paint ( color sanded and buffed ) was still very presentable . It had no drivetrain, so I bought it and took it home and restored to its former glory ! Over 300 hours and lot of dough got it back on the track ! The front suspension is a Chevy Truck straight I beam drilled axle with leaf springs with 54 Chevy car hubs . The rear suspension is a leaf spring ladder bar with anarrowed 12 bolt rearend with Eaton 5:57 gears , c clip eliminatorts and solid aftermarket axles . It has a 4" dynotech driveshaft with safety loop and 1350 u- joints . The interior is aluminum sheet with original floors ( once again no rust ever ) and a full cage . It has VDO gauges and a shift light . It has a 355 ci. Chevy smaal block that was built with the best of everything! Speed pro pistons , 555 mechanical Crower cam , roller rockers , 2.02 Chevy heads , Hilborn injection , Vertex Ronco magneto , Sommers brothers front dist. drive , remote electric water pump with electric fan ( never overheats ) High pressure lines and fenderwell headers . It has a high speed mini starter and a deep sump oil pan . It has a 4 speed Muncie close ratio transmission with a Hurst v- gate shifter and line loc . It has a hays racing clutch and a scattershield . It has weld wheels with 15x4 front with Moroso tires and 15x14 rear with Goodyear 31x14x15 slicks . All the rubber has been replaced ( doors , windows , etc . ) the stainless trim on the body has been straightened and buffed. The side windows are lexan . It has a custom Dooley polished aluminum scoop .The chrome bumpers look great ! It also comes with my fire suit . There is way too much to remember and list but this is a fabulous car that has 4 runs on it since restored ! Will run low tens in the quarter mile ! Like I said , It is still wearing its old paint and it has a ding or two and a scratch or two but all in all SUPER NICE ! It is a race car so, THERE IS NO TITLE ! Must be picked up no later than 14 days after auction ends . This car is in killer condition with many engineering pluses ! All the chrome looks new ! The motor was tuned and the injectors flowed by Ryke Moore ( old dragster crew chief from the 60's ).
