Vehicle Detail
Up for bids is my 1956 Nomad. As I'm in the process of redoing 1 of my two 57 Nomad's (not the Blue1 in the photo)after storing since 1978, I've RELUCTANTLY decided to sell this 56. As the photo's show, it is in very poor shape, but body is mostly there. I took these pictures last fall before pushing Nomads back in the garage. Almost all the stainless steel is in very good shape. The car does not include motor or transmission, but does have 4 wheels &tires, so it will roll, but will have to be trailered. Interior is pretty rough and has sustained some fire damage from a garage fire in 2004 (it was next to garage when fire broke out). The car will need a complete restoration or could be a good donor or rat-rod car. The tailgate window & drivers side vent window are not broken. Dash trim is complete as shown including speaker housing and clock (not sure if it works). There is also a real good (better than what is on the car)drivers side door included, which I couldn't get to to take a picture. The title is clear,as I last licensed it in 1973. It does have a reserve price being a NOMAD, so I can't give it away, so bid accordingly. I decided to do this on the spur of the moment, as I wanted to sell before the Spring Carlisle event next weekend, to raise money for my 57 Nomad items, therefore this will have to be a cash transaction. I can try to answer any questions you may have. Good luck bidding. On Apr-16-10 at 19:09:00 PDT, seller added the following information: Adding to previous post. I've just moved car and taken a few more pictures which I've added. It's no creampuff, as the frame does have rot in the rear section, which I couldn't show before as the car was tight with other things in garage. Spare tire carrior is rotted. This post does show extra door (both sides) which is in great shape. It does need window & vent window along with handle & knobs. I figure the door, tailgate, & tailgate window are worth quite alot being a Nomad. I know there are plenty of parts, panels, etc. available for the 55-57 Chevy's, so this would make a nice project for someone with more time, money,& patience then me, with redoing my 57.
