1971 CORVETTE COUPE LS5 454/365hp FACTORY 4-SPEED, FACTORY AC (works) PS, PB, PW, FACTORY ALARM (UA6) ORIGINAL SALES INVOICE WITH OWNER TRADE-IN (1961 olds conv.) PROTECT-O-PLATE, TANK SHEET, 1991 AUTO TRADER, (WHEN CORVETTE WAS SOLD TO 2nd OWNER) ORIGINAL T-TOP COVERS, JACK, SHIM BAG,AND SPARE TIRE. GM OVERSEAS OPERATIONS MANUEL, JUST LOTS OF DOCUMENTATION ON THIS 2 OWNER (I have both original titles) TRUE 57,575 MILE CORVETTE. PURCHASED JULY 7, 1971 FROM WILKERSON CHEVROLET. TULSA, OK FRAME AND BIRDCAGE SOLID, THE PAINT (#989 WAR BONNET YELLOW) IS ORIGINAL BUT THIN.... MAKING THE BONDING STRIPS VISIBLE. INTERIOR (#400) CARPETS REPLACED, DOOR PANELS, SEATS, ORIGINAL AND IN GOOD SHAPE (SOME WEAR ON DRIVERS SIDE) AS PARTS AGED ON THIS CORVETTE THEY WERE REPLACED WITH CORRECT GM/REMY DELCO/N.O.S. PARTS...I HAVE THE ORIGINAL ALT. & STARTER FOR THIS CORVETTE! I THINK GREAT CARE WAS TAKEN TO TRY AND KEEP THIS CORVETTE AS ORIGINAL AS POSSIBLE, HOWEVER TIME IS PLAYING A FACTOR ON ALL C-3 CORVETTES..... ON THIS CORVETTE THE EXHAUST, BRAKE LINES, CALIPERS HAVE BEEN REPLACED USING CORRECT GM #BRAKE PARTS & LINES. NEW FIRESTONE CORRECT WHITE LINE F70-15 TIRES (PT7). NO PITTING ON BUMPERS, ALL GLASS IS ORIGINAL TO CORVETTE, CORVETTE SHIFTS TIGHT, STOPS STRAIGHT....FIBER OPTICS WORK, INT.STORAGE, DASH LIGHTS ALL WORK, ORIGINAL (U69) RADIO, HEADLIGHTS WORK BUT DRIVERS SIDE SLOW TO OPEN, ALL GAUGES WORK EXCEPT CLOCK. CORVETTE HAS CORRECT PLUG WIRES AND CLUTCH FAN/PULLEYS. THE 3.08 REAR END, M21 TRANS, 454/LS5 #CPH NEVER BEEN OUT OF CAR AND ARE ORIGINAL.....THIS IS A NARRATIVE LETTER FROM THE FRIST OWNER............ Jeff, I know the bill of sale to be accurate. I took particular pains to assure the deal was consummated correctly. We have no more documentation on this corvette. The last items sent or given to the purchaser (2nd owner) included a credit card size metal plate that accompanied the corvette from the dealer in Tulsa. The corvette was purchased from Tulsa Chevy dealership in 1971. It traveled from Tulsa, Oklahoma to Fort Hood, Texas. From there, in 1972 it was driven to Satellite Beach, Florida, where it was kept by my wife, until my return from Vietnam. In 1973 I was reassigned to West Germany, the corvette and the wife followed. While being shipped to Europe some kind of oil was spilled on the corvette, resulting in the door insulation rubber to moderately deteriorate. the corvette was driven on the Autobahn in W. Germany some, but not as much as I would have liked. I was very busy on my post as a Courts-Martial Prosecutor and later as Chief of Justice, somewhat equivalent in the U.S. to a U.S. Attorney. The corvette first was in Worms and later in Kaiserslautern, W Germany. It was taken on one long trip, I drove it down to Monaco via France and back! On its return to the U.S. in 1976 I picked up the corvette up at Port Bayonne, New Jersey (via Bremerhaven W. Germany) It had to be pushed in the Port's yard requiring a new alternator (still have original) to be installed in Bayonne. The corvette was driven in the Washington D.C.suburbs, Following its return from Germany, The corvette resided and was sold in the D.C. area....That's about the entire history of the car that I can presently recall.
