Vehicle Detail
Very unique Corrado street car. Low mileage chassis and super clean interior. Very quick car that really turns heads and provides a very engaging driving experience with short shifting throws and road biting handling. Most people are unable to recognise as you are more likely to see a Ferrari than a corrado on the street. This is an increasingly rare car that’s becoming more and more collectable. This is a very reliable drivable car that starts runs and drives great. For the engine break in I drove it from Eugene Oregon to Kansas city. What a fun drive it was. Using the software I got it up to 35 mpg on the highway with plenty of seat pressing power. This is a father son project and now that I (the son and primary mechanic on the project) am moving to Alaska with my fiancé we have decided it time to let the hotrod go. At the heart of the power plant is a 1.8T with an a big port AEB code cylinder head. The Fuel delivery software is provided by a haltec EK6 ECM and wiring harness. Included with the car is a laptop wit haltec software installed and multiple management presets so you can retune the car anyway you want on the fly. Spark supplied by an MSD 4 coil system. The motor has been fully rebuilt with all OEM vw internals and has 4 thousand miles on its so far. Right now the car is boosting 11 psi and because of its tuning is producing enough power to break the wheels loose in third gear. This set up can handle upwards of twenty psi but I have been keeping the boost lower till the motor has time to fully break in. Is has a fast spooling t3 super 60 turbo bolted to an ats turbo manifold with an external waste gate. It exhausts through a stainless 3 inch down pipe into 2.5 inch pipe with cat for better luck with passing emissions. On top is a rare European spec 1.8t valve cover that has been painstakingly machined and polished. Also the one off power steering reservoir and oil catch can are fabbed from aluminum. The intake manifold is a custom fabrication one of a kind in polished aluminum that provides very even high flow air delivery. The intercooler piping is in polished aluminum 2.5” pipe through a G ready front mount intercooler. The radiator and intercooler are mounted to an aluminum fabricated core support. The haltec management uses A GM coolant temp sensor and a corvette throttle body, TPS, Bosch 4 wire oxygen sensor, and intake manifold pressure sensor. All can be purchased from a local parts store if they were ever to fail. The serpentine belt runs on a billet aluminum under drive pulley for faster revving and power gains. The alternator is stock vw 1.8t as well as the a/c compressor. The transmission is the stock bulletproof G60 gearbox with a grippy high performance sachs clutch. The new parts involved in this build up include all new engine and transmission seals and coolant hoses. Yes all of them. This motor does not leak anything. Motor mounts have been replaced as well. The fuel pump has been replaced as well as the starter. The front rotors are drilled and slotted with mintex pads. The car is dropped 1.5 inches and riding on kyb shocks and H&R springs. Tires are an almost new matched set on light motegi 17” rims. There is a custom rear tower brace that holds the relocated gel battery which run with high quality 2 gauge cable. In the interior the gauges are backed by a white insert. The steering wheel is momo. There is some slight wear in the driver seat bolster as pictured. But other than that the interior is super clean. The sunroof is a glass passat swap that works. All the power options work and there is a car alarm and remote lock installed as well. Things that need to be finished… the front bumper had the turn signals and fog lights shaved. The wiring is still there and included is a fiberglass front bumper that wraps the intercooler and has fog and turn signals. The air con needs to be finished. It is set up with a new 1.8T condenser brand new compressor and evaporator. The evaporator needs to be installed and system charged to complete the a/c conversion. The spoiler does not go up as the relay needs to be replaced. Stock and clear tail lights are included with the car. The paint job is very recent but was never buffed out. As you can see in the pictures the car looks very good but the paint needs to be finished to be perfect. The Fenders have been replaced at some point. The car has had a fender bender at some point but everything is very straight and the car has a clear title. The horn does not work because of the aftermarket steering wheel and the driver rear view mirror lens is cloudy. Fuel gauge, headlight brights, and automatic seat belts are not working have not looked into it yet. Please call with any questions about the corrado. It is the your responsibility to satisfy yourself about what this car is and what it is not before bidding. A lot of money has been well invested in this car, and I know I will not get close to what has been invested. The best way to get a car with this level of performance tuning is to buy it already assembled. I’m wanting this car to go to a vw enthusiast that will take care of it and respect it. I would not hesitate to drive this car anywhere in the lower 48 and have taken it on longs road trips. The local airport is the Kansas city international airport and I can meet you there with the car. There will be a reserve on the auction until I have posted pictures of the front bumper at which point this will be a no reserve auction so bid to win. Thanks! So I am starting a photobucket folder for this car so I can make as many pictures available as I need to without more Ebay fees. The link to the folder is http://s299.photobucket.com/albums/mm314/vwinsania/Corrado/ The reserve has been removed from the auction (or lowered to 1300) and this is now a no reserve auction so bid to win.
