This 1989 4runner is a project truck that I took on to put a 1kz-te diesel motor in from a Toyota Prado. Engine has 50k on it as it was a JDM motor that I got from JDM Dallas. It comes with the full drive line including auto transmission, transfer case, wiring and computer. I took out the 3.0 engine and started to install the 1kz-te but the mounts are slightly different. I have too many other projects and just don't have the time for this one any more. The truck is rust free and has a very straight body. Interior in clean with minor things that need to be replaced such as the plastic pulls on the doors. All electrical stuff works when I hooked up a battery (windows, back window, door locks, turn signals, etc) . Even if you decide not to use the diesel motor then you could easily drop a vw diesel or a 3.4 and sell the 1kz-te. These 1st gen 4runners are becoming harder to find and this one is really clean and rust free. It is much better in person than the photos. So don't let it get away.
