Vehicle Detail
Ford F-150 step-side 3-door extended cab for sale. This was my father's truck, but he has moved out of state, so time to sell. At 260,000 miles it still runs strong. Pretty metallic blue color is even nicer in person than the photos show. I've only ever seen one other step-side Ford in the same color. Most that I've seen in this color are flat-sided, making this truck better-looking than most out there (if like step-sides).Needs a new radiator (has a hole in it), so will need to be towed away unless you have the work done where it's currently located (Tiffany Ford on San Felipe Rd.), but it will run fine once the radiator is replaced. Water pump was replaced just a few weeks ago. Body is mostly in good shape. It has the typical minor dings and parking lot scrapes from 20+ years of use, and the right front fender kissed a pole a couple of years ago, leaving a dent. The Fiberglas step-side fenders are in good shape - no cracks. Bedliner in the bed. All 3 doors open and close normally. Interior is in good shape too. Driver's seat is more worn than the rest, and has a small tear from use. It'll still last a good, long time.Priced to sell at $699. Kelly Blue Book "fair" condition with this mileage and options puts this truck at $1747 for private sales. Tiffany Ford estimated the radiator replacement at $500-some. So even if you have them fix it, you're still saving a hundreds of dollars. Save even more if you get the radiator second-hand and replace it yourself or have a cheaper shop do it.Vehicle is sold "as is" with no warranty. I reserve the right to pull this listing if vehicle sells outside of eBay.On Jan-23-19 at 16:03:11 PST, seller added the following information: Edit: I was reminded by my father, after he saw the listing, of one other detail I should mention: The driver's side tailpipe came off its hanger last year, and was damaged. A portion of it had to be removed downstream from the muffler (near the rear axle). It has glasspak mufflers and sounds nice when running. The mufflers are still intact, and the exhaust leaves the vehicle underneath the bed, so you won't get fumes while driving. But it will eventually need a replacement pipe from the muffler to the rear bumper if you want the dual pipes to show (notice in the photos of the rear how only one chrome tip is showing). This shouldn't be expensive or hard to get from a junk yard. Depending on how strict your smog station is, this may need to be done before you can get the truck smogged. The missing section of pipe doesn't change the emissions in any way, but some stations are more strict than others about how they interpret the language that the emissions system needs to be "fully intact."
