Vehicle Detail
Up for auction is this very nice 1926 Ford Model T Coupe, with original 4 cylinder, 23 HP engine and original planetary transmission. It also has the highly sought after Ruxtell rear end, for a little more top end speed. The engine is rebuilt and has 832 miles on it. It starts easily, runs smooth and cool. It has brand new tires and rims. The body is solid with no patch panels. The paint is shiny and fairly nice with some chips and pings from age. The drivers front fender paint has some cracks. Overall the paint looks fairly good, although by no means 'show quality', rather a daily driver. The interior looks to be original and is very nice with no rips or tears. The glass is all very nice with no cracks or hazing. The headlights may need new bulbs(included). The trunk area is nice & tidy. The engine bay is clean and dry. The top material was replaced at one time and looks good with no leaks. This car has been sitting in dry storage for about 20 years. It may need small amount of TLC but starts, runs and drives good. The car comes with clear title from the State of Illinois. The VIN # does not match the engine #. Nice piece of Henry Ford automotive history.
