1979 Pontiac Fire Bird / Trans Am - This is a "Fresh Barn Find from the Dutch Country PA!" THIS CAR RUNS, DRIVES & STOPS EXCELLENT ! Starts with the tap of the key and runs smooth, purrs like a kitten ! This is a true Survivor ! Literally, I found this car stored in a barn / garage up in the Amish Country in Pennsylvania ! It was kept garaged and started periodically for nearly 10 years ! It is like finding a time capsule ! The Body is in excellent condition with NO ROT, the FLOOR PANS AND TRUNK ARE ROCK SOLID (original and like new !) The frame and undercarriage are solid and the same for the rockers. Lower quarters, doors, fenders are all beautiful ! This Car is not rusted out like most you see, It shows that this car was not left outside in the elements! It was originally a manual transmission so the car has three pedals and can easily be converted back into a stick shift (Manual) It has the Trans Am Fenders and a hood that looks to be from a Turbo Trans Am if I'm not mistaken. The interior could use a refresh not sure if it is the original interior it looks like a custom interior that was done years ago. The power windows both work, headlights, tail lights, turn signals, wipers all work. It is very fast and is set up with an Edelbrock Carburator, Headers and a HURST SLAP SHIFTER. Yes it will burn rubber off the line ! It has a Pontiac V8 with an automatic transmission, I was told it’s a 400cu w/a TH400 tranny (still trying to verify) It also has a moon roof and stock rally wheels with all 4 beauty rings and center caps.
