I recently purchased this vehicle, and have a little over $7,000 into it. It will not pass CA smog. I'm not very familiar with AMC (as it is the first one I've purchased), so not sure what it would take to get it to pass. It may be best to sell to someone outside of CA. I have driven the vehicle locally on surface streets, and it seems to run a bit rough. Smog shop mechanic recommended an engine rebuild. I haven't taken to another mechanic for a 2nd opinion. I start it up every 4 days, and it starts right up. I let it run until engine heats up, and thermostat opens to cool it down. I don't have a lot of extra time or money to put into it, so thought I'd offer on ebay. I know they're getting harder and harder to find. Although there is some fading of color of carpet, and some plastic, overall, interior looks pretty good, and appears to be all original. Seats don't have any tears. I will also include the dealership repair manual. There is an area, in front of rear wheel, which has rotted away. I purchased from Maggi Mitsubishi in PA, and they installed a new carburetor. Prior owner installed new brake lines, distributer cap, and wiring. Vehicle is being sold with Pennsylvania Title showing sale to me. I will give buyer that title along with a bill of sale, which will support transfer of vehicle from me to new owner. You're welcome to have vehicle inspected prior to bidding. This is a 36 year old vehicle, so will have some imperfections. Dealership I purchased from let me know it passed state inspection, which is good until September, 2019. It is my understanding a vehicle in PA, passing state inspection, is considered "road worthy". Vehicle is sold AS-IS. Feel free to ask any questions, or request additional pictures.
