Vehicle Detail
1972 MGB in Great Driver Condition... I've own it since 2011 and spared no expense in making all the little improvements that make these as reliable easy to live with. It doesn't leak anything, it runs nice and cool on even the hottest days. I only used it in the summer but I like to drive to work in traffic and be able to take long road trips to beach. I've concentrated on making it tight and rattle free and a great handler. Still I've only put around 3k on the car total in 7 years, I've also recently bought a Morgan +4 and it just doesn't make sense to have both in my collection. Below is in no specific order, most of the suspension stuff was in 2012, while I did the floors, brakes and fuel pump this summer. Improvements are as followsWeber CarbPertronix Ignition. (no points)SU Solid State Fuel PumpLeather Seat CoversSeat HeatersBluetooth Stereo with 6/9 speakers in back and 6.5 in front, no metal cuttingNew CarpetsNew Floors welded in and sound deadening + undercoatingNew Door SealsNew ShocksNew Rear Leaf SpringsWood Steering Wheel + shift knobNew HornNew Calipers, Master Cylinder, pads, and brake hosesMGB Rubber Mats..Ansa Exhaust System I've done a ton of work and spent a ton of money on parts because it's a hobby I enjoy and never intended to sell this car but I just don't have time to drive it anymore and it's time for it get a new owner. I have some additional parts for stuff I never got around too.. Overdrive transmission. along with harness and speedo cablePowder Coated Wire Wheels, hubs and rear axleAluminum Hood These parts would be separate but I price them cheap to the buyer. On Sep-28-18 at 07:07:06 PDT, seller added the following information: For some reason questions and answers are not mirroring in the listing.. Q. I like the car, but I have a couple of questions. You replaced the floors - any other body or frame rust?Do all of the gauges work?Any problems with the transmission or clutch?Any problems with the top?Any major dings, dents or scratches in the paint?Any gas, oil or coolant leaks?Does it burn oil? Thanks Answer The was rust under both seats so I replaced the whole drivers and half the passenger floor. Frame is solid along with battery boxes and trunk. Body has no rust. All the gauges work, except the tach needle sticks at high rpm and needs to be tapped to return to working. Oil pressure temp and fuel are all accurate. Interior and trunk lights work when doors/trunk open. Horn works. Top is in good shape and weather tight. The transmission is silent and shift great with no slop. Clutch is good. Paint is ok, not great. A bunch of scratches and such filled in with touchup etc. It does shine though, but I was planning on repainting sometime in the future. I'm also a little crazy. It has two dings I can think of. One on the drivers side rear wing, and another on lower front fender. Both are about the size of a quarter. It doesn't leak oil gas or coolant. I've never had to add any oil, oil pressure is good, and the tailpipe is not wet, so I'm confident it doesn't burn oil. Q. What carburetor is fitted ? Weber DGV downdraft.
