Up for sale is my 2012 BMW R1200RT Touring motorcycle. I am the second owner, the original purchaser from 2012 had ordered direct from BMW for testing in the State of Michigan. Very low milage example of the Camhead and a very smooth bike. This bike features some nice options in it's custom order from Germany. Features heated handgrips, as well as heated front and rear seats, front and rear air pressure monitoring system (TPMS) that works flawlessly, as well as prewired for a stereo, controls are in place as well as speakers, but an optional backup/auxiliary battery is in the glovebox for extra juice. The bike was meticulously maintained by a BMW Dealership, with proper maintenance schedule followed. Within the last 2,000 miles, BMW Motorad Service resurfaced all brake rotors, replaced all spark plugs, flushed differential fluid and transmission fluid, new front and year Goodyear tires and new air filter. Within the last 100 miles I've installed a new AGM battery, changed the engine oil with new BMW oil and filter, and verified valve shim tolerances (still perfect!) The motorcycle has a clean title and is fully registered through January of 2019. It was laid down on the right side before I purchased it, and there is a slight scuff/rash on the corner of the passenger valve cover (see photos), and I replaced a Tupperware plastic fairing for scratches so it looks excellent now. There are some tiny marks and scratches from day to day, stone chips on the windshield and riding boots etc but looks quite nice overall. Everything works as it should, no burned out bulbs or warning lights or errors of any kind. Unlike most bikes, the Service Indicator (which can only be reset by BMW) is current and not past due, and is good until May of 2019.To accompany the bike I have the original Key, the plastic back-up key, original toolbag with toolset (hex, torx etc) and lastly the special tool to remove the drain / fill plug in the valve cover.The bike is also for sale elsewhere and I reserve the right to cancel the listing. My interests have shifted and I need to downsize some toys.Kelly Blue Book has it valued for $11,000, and the State Tax Assessor manual has it valued at $10,600.
