Vehicle Detail

I've bought over 30 car's from Ebay, I know the whole "sight unseen" part can be......an adventure. Only reason I'm selling it thru Ebay instead of classifieds, I don't have time for the 50 teenagers who are going to call me asking "my best price" or trying to take an Instagram picture with it. Ebay is my lazy way of selling it. I know it won't get top dollar, but time is money and I can't spend all day on the phone answering the same questions over and over. To help alleviate some of those issues, I shot a quick walk around video of the car. You can cut and paste the video or if your on a desk top, it should show up below this link. https://youtu.be/2oT3M80-GaE October 13, 2018 - YouTube Video will open in a new window Using the eBay App? Paste link into a browser window: [isdntekvideo] I've driven this car for two years now. Honestly when I purchased it, it was one of those dream cars for me. However since then, I've been very fortunate to purchase some other dream cars as well. I now have a S7, a 700hp Mustang, and a GTR. Frankly, it was the GTR that rendered this car useless to me. I asked my wife which car she rather I sell, the S7 or the 911, and she had to think about it for a while. She finally decided on the 911, because our kids are a bit older now, and its getting cramped in the back seat. You CAN totally get 2 car seats in the back if your kids are under 6 I purchased the car with a salvage title. I've owned 9 salvage car's, and I have a real good idea of what to look for. Before I bought this, I spotted a sticker in the rear window from a shop that had done work to the car. I called them up, and was able to get with the original owner. I WILL share that owners name with the high bidder, but I text him and he asked me not to give it out during the auction, as he doesn't want 100 messages. The previous owner of the car thought that if he claimed the interior had gotten wet during a storm, the insurance company would give him new seats and carpet. Well.........don't try that folks. ESPECIALLY in Virginia. They don't screw around, if you claim ANY water damage, they take the car! He sued them, and State Farm refused to pay him out. Car say for about 6 months, he finally took a check for the value of the car as if it were stock, and it went off to auction. I actually drove the car for a year with a dealer plate on it to make sure I wasn't missing something. Pulled the seats etc (you can always tell a flood car by the under side of a seat! The wire mesh rusts) NOTHING in the car shows any water damage. Sheriff Martin did the "rebuild" inspection. He took it around the block and came back laughing asking why it needed an inspection. I told him the story and he said "you hit the lottery, enjoy it". Only thing wrong with it when I got it, someone stole the stereo out of it, so I put in an Android Touch Screen with Nav. 99% sure it was Onto the car.......... The Good: EVERYTHING Mechanical. I had it inspected by our Audi/Porsche dealer when I got it a couple years ago. Tires and Breaks were all it needed and I did both. I've only put 5K on it. We get snow 6 months out of the year, so its spent two winters under a car cover in a corner of my garage (I have a big garage ;) ) Breaks have less than 3K on them. All real Porche pads/rotors. No cheap Ebay crap. I thought I was keeping the car when I did them last year. Tires have less than 5K on them. Aftermarket Exhaust (No idea on brand, it was on when I bought it). Its JUST right, raspy, but does NOT drone at speed (which I could say the same about my S7) Wheels are color matched to the car DOES NOT HAVE IMS issues. This car came from the next generation. Only Synthetic since I've had it. Has a nice body kit, front back and side skirts Whale Tail Conversion 20% Tint all the way around Brand new battery (I sort of forgot to plug it in last winter) Interior is a solid 8 out of 10. Its an older 911. These things wear like a VW. Seats are worn but not cracked etc. Dash is perfect, door panels have a couple of normal scratches etc. Carpets are good, floor mats could stand to be replaced. Has tinted Headlights, tail lights, marker lights etc. Look REAL good. The Not Great:I would repaint the body kit if I kept it. By the previous owners estimation, its been on for 5 years. Has a couple scratches etc in it. The drivers side skirt has 2 or 3 decent scratches from the back of someones shoe. And whoever painted it, was off just one shade. Its super common with aftermarket bumpers, in the sun you can't tell, but a purist will pick it up. Throws a PAS Code (Head light auto adjust). All it does it "sync" the headlights, I never cared, they are aimed correctly, so I don't care. It beeps every time you hit 75mph because the active "wing" is gone in favor of the whale tail. I never looked into getting the fault fixed, I kind of liked the warning noise. Sort of became a game on back roads to see how fast I hit it. You can't fit Golf Clubs in it. Ok, you CAN if you put them on the back shelf and take all the woods out. This is probably the 2nd reason I'm selling it. They fit nice in the back of GTR, and if you ever drive a GTR, it will ruin every car under 100K for you. It has for me. Why are you selling it? The economy is on fire, and we've decided to expand our business. We're building our own office complex, and opening two satellite offices. Frankly I just don't see myself driving this more than 2-3K a year, so I'd rather free up the capital. Its a real nice 911, but I know its not "collectible" so there's no point in storing it. I would rather let another car guy experience his dream. I do have to say, there's a real nice on ramp to 696 by my house...that leads to a tunnel/bridge under pass. Sounds GREAT if you get on it :) Payment : Deposit due in 24hrs. I don't care if your mom or wife won't let you buy it. I know there's a 50% chance the high bidder doesn't contact me, I'll just file a Non Paying Bidder and get your account locked for 12 months. Final Payment by wire transfer or cash. NO CASHIERS CHECKS. No Nigerian Lottery Winnings. Shipping: I've purchased several Ebay cars this year alone (feel free to check my feedback), I might be able to help out with some referals. If buyer wants to pay in full, I MAY be able to get the car to Indianapolis. Chicago or Traverse City for someone. I work in all three area's, would just need to work out details before auction ended. On Oct-16-18 at 20:28:30 PDT, seller added the following information: Just to clarify, the car is sitting at my home in Royal Oak, MI (just a couple miles north of Detroit). Its right off I-75, and yes a car hauler can easily get in and out for shipping purposes. If you want to pick the car up from Traverse City, MI that's easy as well, I go back and fourth between the two at least every 10 days.
