VW BUS WESTFALIA CAMPER RETRO STYLE CLICK HERE FOR VW MOTOR SOUND Mechanical:Brand new rebuilt dual port 1600 engine by the reputable shop with all new OEM components (alternator, distributor, wiring, carburetor, fuel pump, Bosch coil), new Sachs clutch, pressure plate and throw out bearing. Transmission serviced. Gas tank removed, cleaned, hoses replaced, installed the new fuel sending unit. Brake job is done including new main brake line from the front to back, new master cylinder , all lines, and hoses, front and rear shoes, rear wheel cylinders, rear drums, brake fluid reservoir. New starter, rebuilt rear axles. Steering adjusted new tie rods, new gas pedal, ignition switch. New speedo cable. All mechanical work by VW shop. Brand new tires on original VW bus rims, new chrome VW logo hubcaps. Spare is original whitewall. Brand new toned windshield glass and seal. Bodywork : Some welding on frame with thick metal, replaced rockers, inner rockers, lower panel left side, inner sill left side, outriggers front and back, two jack points, noted some patches on front floor, new metal reinforcement patch by sliding door floor, both rear corners ( mostly metal with minimum bondo). New paint close to original color -very solid. Fiberglass top repaired and painted ( both pop top and roof rack). New pop top seal. Electric wiring checked and cleaned including main wiring harness, replaced all bulbs, flasher relay, fuses, all lights, headlights, and blinkers work.Other new parts: Sunvisors, gas door spring, inside door, pulls, crank handles, dome light, both outside mirrors, front chrome emblem, both turn signal lenses and seals, all four side markers, both taillight complete assembly, both back up lights assembly, chrome headlight rings, both outside front door scrapers, inner scrapers, both front chrome outside handles keyed alike, New seals: Windshield, rear hatch, rear window (both sides), sliding door, front door, engine compartment, sliding door guide cover.Camping equipment: Original side cabinet, original Z bed, jumper seat. headbanger cabinet- new original cabinet handles, otherwise cleaned and preserved- Formica in excellent shape. The table is a replica with the original leg. New Z bed high-density foam, rear mattress high density foam, all three pieces with new vinyl upholstery, new upholstery on jumper seat. Original child's cot with metal bars. New tan pop top canvas with three windows. New white birchwood ceiling panels, side panels. Outside city 120 V hook up testing. New front seats off-white upholstery, new rubber carpet front cabin and walkway, new kick panels. New wood underlayment and black and white checkers vinyl PVC.New red and white curtains with original tied ups. Hard to list everything I did during two years of restoration. Tried to take care of everything it might need, it is not a showpiece but a very presentable bus with the original equipment.
