2Topia Cycles proudly presents this outstanding 1979 Triumph Bonneville Special T140D for sale! This is the Triumph Factory Special Edition with special black and gold paint, factory 2 into 1 exhaust, and Lester factory mag wheels. Also, it came with the later Amal MK II carburetors. -Engine has been meticulously re-built by 2Topia Cycles to new factory specs with oem or better parts as follows: *NOS crankshaft (slugde trap new and clean of any sludge requiring no external oil filter) *NOS connecting rods *New big end bearings and crank shaft bearings *NOS T140 intake and exhaust camshafts *New cylinder barrels *New pistons and wrist pins *New piston rings *Complete new gasket set *Cylinder head refurbished and inspected. *Carburetors rebuilt with new internals and gaskets *New carburetor intake insulators (boots) and clamps *Professionally and properly broken in with Spectro oil high in zinc and phosphorus needed for proper break in -Brake system rebuild as follows: *New front brake master cylinder *New rear brake master cylinder *New front and rear brake lines *New front and rear brake pads *Spectro synthetic DOT4 fluid -Triumph OEM seat (shown in pics) included in sale as is Corbin seat (also shown in pics) -Suspension and chassis serviced and lubed and working as new. Has earlier model handle bars (lower and wider), but original bars included in sale. -Electrical system serviced with a new battery and spark plugs and wires. All electrical working as new. Factory Lucas e-ignition in great shape and working properly as well as charging system and lighting. -Tires at 50% or better -Speedometer re-built. During rebuild, mileage was reset to 0, and speedo now reads miles after rebuild. Odometer was previously stuck at 14,005. This is a beautiful example of a vintage Meriden Triumph. The paint is original and is in very good shape. There are small blemishes and marks from normal use and time, but much less than other original bikes.
