Vehicle Detail
Up for sale is a super nice 1997 BMW 840ci. I just had a professional paint correction done this week. I purchased the car from South Carolina and had it shipped to Wisconsin. It has never seen snow or salt. The previous owner had the entire car painted with European BASF Glasurit paint. All of the panels were removed to paint. The entire car has been wet sanded flat and buffed out. There wasn't any damage to the body, the previous owner just wanted the car to look as new again. All new weather stripping was installed during assembly. There are no dings, runs, rock chips etc. The previous owner had the car painted and then didn't drive it much after. I have the receipt for the bodywork. I had the interior detailed and looks almost new. Since purchasing the car I replaced all of the front suspension with great quality European parts and had it aligned. I also had the driveshaft rebuilt and replaced the rubber bushing. In the last week I replaced both batteries in the trunk. Needless to say the car drives great and runs strong. The A.C. is ice cold and everything works as it should. It currently has an A.C. Schnitzer body kit and mirrors installed along with an aftermarket Remus exhaust. It sits on M-Par wheels which are correct for the 8-series cars. The only issues the car has are the SRS light is on (I believe related to the batteries dying), the pixels in the trip computer are wonky, and the stereo amplifiers have been removed. The previous owner took the car to the BMW dealership because of a battery drain and they believed the stereo amplifiers were draining the battery. The real cause for the drain was that the General Module had bad capacitors in it and was causing the car not to go into sleep mode. I had it repaired by member of the BMW forum that specializes in repairing modules. That solved the drain. I have the car priced fairly for the great condition that its in. It needs almost nothing. The pictures speak for themselves and the car looks even better in person. Feel free to call with any questions, 715 409 0297
