This 1963 Ragtop is a nice daily driver. Just had headliner and rag top replaced... Paint is in good condition but there is fade and some cracking on certain areas. Working itself towards a nice patina. Car runs great, added a correct rebuilt carb and it starts 1st turn. Not a fast car with its original size 1200 CC engine, but great for around town. New interior, had horn, lights, turn signals repaired. I still use hand signals as the lights are not bright with the original 6 volt set up in the car. Radio is incorrect and does not work. New brakes all around. There are new window scrapers on drivers's/passenger windows. two rear windows and rear window have new rubber as of last week after rag top was replaced. Some of the black plastic on the running boards has been pulled back from the door (see photo). All glass is good. The dash has white dots (like over spray) on the dash, Not sure what they are from. There is light HAIL damage on the upper hood and a few small dings on the top (See photo). Hood can be repaired or replaced but I would just leave it and I'm picky. I will work with your shipper, you pay shipping. Nice car++++ On 2/8/18 the folowing was completed by (Sportcar) a classic VW repair and restoration shop.- Test compression, #1 - 90, #2-100, #3-100 #4-100 - Replace tie rods both sides- Fix E brake, tighten front spindles- Repair apron tin- Clean regulators and install/replace window scrapers (German) and window rubber.Total bill: $1339.24 You will receive all paper work on repairs and parts On Sep-17-18 at 12:50:28 PDT, seller added the following information: The cost of the install of the rag top and headliner (including parts) was $1200.
