Vehicle Detail
You are bidding on a beautifully aged 66 c10 stepside. It is a true stepside short box from Memphis Tn. I am the third owner. It has an exceptionally solid undercarriage being a southern car. The body is aged beautifully with only one repaint in its lifetime. It has absolutely no bodywork. The patina is outstanfing. The truck has a newly installed 305 with 40k miles on it. It was pulled from a 1980 el camino. Th350 automatic trans with manual steering. All brakes and lines are new and function perfectly. Disc up front and druns on the rear. Truck has all new front end with lowered spindels and lowered panhard bar in the rear gor a beautiful stance. Interior is all original. All windows work properly, wipers, heater and defroster work perfectly. Tites are new. Dual exhaust with original ramhorns is new. I would drive this truck anywhere. And I truely mean that. This truck needs nothing other than a new windshield gasket. Please email me with questions. The tailgate and rocker kickers are GMC.. they were replaced years ago. On Sep-04-18 at 06:08:39 PDT, seller added the following information: Yes. The Indian racer replica and stand will go with the truck. It is fully operational. On Sep-06-18 at 05:06:33 PDT, seller added the following information: Question: Is there any rust through on the frame or body? Response: Frame and floors are perfect with the exception of 2 small spots about the size of a silver dollar. One on drivers side inside floorboard where the kick panel meets floor and one on passenger side in the exact same spot. Most likely caused by water laying there. Drivers side was patched years ago. It is evident in one of the pictures. Other side was not enough to make me worry about it. The underside of the floors and rockers look amazing. Only other rust is on the inside bed lip next to the cab. More than likely caused by years of stuff laying in the back. I took out all of the old bed strips and reused all frame supports and cross members to put the plywood bed down. I was astounded how solid they were. The body has a few spots that will need repaired if someone takes this truck to the next level. Mostly on the hood. These spots are evident in the pictures. I wanted the look so I did nothing to it. I figured it lasted 51 years and I didn't want to start patching and hiding at this point. Once you do that, it never ends. This is just a cool driver that gets lots of looks wherever you take it. Thanks for your question. Hope it helps.
