Offered for sale my 2001 BMW R 1100S light edition. This bike has only 8.900 miles and is one of the finest examples available. Only 200 light edition bikes were offered in 2001, all in night black. This motorcycle has been meticulously maintained, mature rider only, always stored indoors. Runs great. Light edition sheds weight by using a carbon fiber kit, consisting of front fairing center panel, center tank panel, engine cowl, front mudguard, heel guard, shock guard, exhaust guard, seat cowl, triple clamp cover and spark plug covers. Long travel sports suspension same as on Boxer Cup models, sport handlebars, 5.5" rear wheel with 180/ZR 17 Michelin tire. Steering damper and black engine cases. Recently replaced brake lines front and rear, new battery, brake fluid change front and rear, california cover. Tons of paperwork including owners manual, repair manual, original sales receipt, original sales brochure in perfect condition. Oilhead owners repair manual, box of spare parts including plugs, oil filters, and assorted other. This was bike was over $17,000.00 new!
