Vehicle Detail
I mostly used this BMW for taking my dog to the park and the occasional commute to work. I've only put about 5,000 miles on it since purchase last year. I'm selling the car because I'll be moving across the country in a couple of weeks time, and it's not practical to ship this BMW. It is in decent condition considering its age and mileage. Interior:The leather interior has no rips and the electric front seats retain all of their functionality (including the 3-stage heating function). The gauges and the LEDs for the odometer screen are all functional, too. The radio works as well but a couple of the LEDs are beginning to fail. A retractable separation net between the rear seats and the rear cargo area is built-in (original equipment). Exterior:The paint is a 7/10. Some small rock chips are evident on the hood and a hand-sized area of the clear coat is peeling on the rear-most passenger-side pillar (near the hatch). The BBS alloy wheels could use a good cleaning and possibly a polish. They are probably 5/10. Doors/Lights/Windows:All doors open and all power locks work. I have both keys and they both work. The passenger-side rear window is stuck shut. The driver's window regulator has been replaced by the previous owner so it works great, but (according to him) it caused a light (approx. 6x2 inch) scratch patch on the window. The rear hatch struts are worn so the hatch won't stay open, but I have 4 OEM struts that I will include in the purchase price! All exterior lights work. Mechanical:The engine has a rough idle which keeps throwing up the check engine light. I've tried to fix it by cleaning or replacing a few parts but it hasn't worked. Other than that, the engine runs well once warmed up. The steering rack has recently started squeaking. It might just need some fluid but it more likely than not needs a new steering rack. Brakes are good. Suspension is good. Transmission is good. Other:Tires are almost new Dunlop SportMaxx summers. The car is PA state inspected through March 2019. I have most service records going back to 2014 which I can hand over upon purchase. Please send me any questions you may have and I'll respond as quickly as possible. Thank you for your time.
