Vehicle Detail
Please read my entire description prior to bidding. Thank you very much. Clear Title in hand to this chopper. So, back in 1979, my brother in law bought this bike out of an ad in Chopper Magazine, a copy of which is part of this sale and the actual one that he bought the kit out of!! You got the frame, the forks, the wheels, chain, chain guard, handle bars, axles, etc., and you assembled it and finished it off. He ordered the one for a CB750 engine and yup, painted it the purple color of the magazine that month, Feb., 1972. Amazing piece of chopper history here for someone interested in this kind of motorcycle history. If you are my age, 68, then you remember the movie Easy Rider. Well, it spawned a Revolution in motorcycles. Everybody wanted a chopper. So, these magazines sprung up and you could buy about anything to build a chopper on your own from these magazines. It was an amazing time in our country's history and if you were around back then, and were deep into motorcycles like I was, then you will remember this. So, he used a 1972 CB750 engine and the kit and started building it up, only to get way layed with a family, work and the military. So, he never finished it. It sat unmolested in his living room. Then, in 2000, he got an assembled title for it so he could license it and he started working on it again and got it this far and quit. It is SO CLOSE. It is almost ready to fire up and ride. It just needs the wiring harness connected. All the lights, ignition, coils etc. are hooked up and ready to be connected. I have the CB750 wiring switch he was going to use. The oil tank is all hooked up, the engine is ready and will fire up and run as soon as you get spark to her. It has about 1000 miles on it only. So it is great. I wish I had the skills necessary to wire it up but I do not. I am hoping you do. This is a bike that without much work, will make you an awesome period bike to ride. None like it anywhere. Most are long destroyed. Because this bike has been inside a house for 40 years, it is preserved like a fine wine, out of any cold or hot or wet. It is literally a vintage time capsule. Included in this sale, are the 2 chopper seats pictured in picture 24. These are enlarged pics which I paid extra for, so that you can see the bike close up. PLEASE REMEMBER THAT THE BIKE IS 46 YEARS OLD AND IT WILL HAVE SOME RUST, SCRATCHES, FADING, AND OTHER NON-PERFECT COSMETICS AND THE BIKE DOES NOT COME WITH ANY WARRANTIES. Now, I wish I could fire it up for you but I can't But the bike is almost ready my friend, almost ready. Here is your opportunity. These do not come around very often. Most are just bikes that were hacked up. This is the real deal!!! Inspections welcomed either by you or by proxy. Please have your funds ready to purchase. PAYMENT TERMS: PAY PAL ONLY.
