Vehicle Detail

I am listing my father's car. He is relocating and will not need a car. Furthermore, as he got older in the last year, he lost his ability to drive well. So the car sustained some light body damage (all included in the photos). However, mechanically, this car is excellent. Options are great too. Rear-view camera, parking sensors, touch screen, both heated and cold seats. A/C works very well. It only has about 106,000 miles as well (exactly 105,792 - but it's still being driven now until it's sold so the miles will be a little higher). Over 10 years of use, that's only about 10,000 miles a year. We've owned this car since it was new (reflects on the title). Most of the work for this car was done at Lexus of Greenwich or at C&F Auto (recently) in Port Chester. All work can be verified at these locations. We've been definitely over $10,000 in maintenance into the car. Synthetic oil changes always done at regularly serviced intervals. Oil was changed recently at 105,000 miles. Pros: 1) Just had a new radiator and coolant put in (last 100 miles). This alone was about $1,000 in repairs. 2) Brake Pads (last few thousand miles - the replacement pads didn't have the brake pad sensors included - this doesn't effect drive-ability but the computer is saying that the pads should be changed. No need to change pads. Brake pad change done at Meineke in White Plains, NY with records. If this annoys you, you can buy sensors for about $10 and add them or just wait till your next pad/rotor change) 3) Engine Air Filter (x2 - the car needs two) and Cabin Air Filter is included as well. However, the ones in the car are clean and do not need to be changed for some time. 4) Tires (Tread above 50%) with a full size spare in the trunk. Cons: 1) Body Work - I've depicted the dents and damage in the photo within the car. There are possibly much smaller dents I've missed. 2) May Need New Control Arms Soon - Mechanic has told us that probably in the next 5,000+ miles, the car may need new control arms soon. However, it runs fine now. 3) Leather seats have two very small tears in the passenger seat (seen in the last two photos). Other than that the interior is good. All in all, you're getting a car that has served my family faithfully for a decade. This car is a steal if you know someone who does body work or if you can do it yourself. Mechanically, the car is good. Unfortunately, I don't have the time or need for a large car like the LS460 to do it myself (I live in NYC). Otherwise I'd just keep it. It's going for no reserve because my father is moving and keeping a big car with alternate side street parking in the city is a bit of a pain. Starts at $4900 but I'm betting it won't stay there and that selling it for no reserve will gain more interest. Car is located in Greenwich, Connecticut. However, if someone is interested, I could maybe take it to work this week in Sunnyside, New York. So if you're in the Queens, NYC area and want to see it during work hours, please send me a message. Otherwise the car should be in Greenwich, CT and can be available for viewing after 6-7PM in the evenings. Please let me know if you want to see the car before you bid. I've represented the car as accurately as I can but I'm not an expert mechanic so please bear that in mind. Note About Pricing: Kelly Blue Book with "Good" Condition is $12,654-$15,261 for Private Party. KBB Value with "Fair" Condition is $12,654 - $15,161 for Private Party. KBB Value for "Fair" Condition is $9,523-$11,534 for Trade-in to a dealership. -----Edmunds Private Party Value for "Rough" Condition is $9,705. Edmunds Trade In for "Rough" Condition is $7,800. -----FYI Description for Fair Condition under Edmunds is Average May have a few mechanical and/or cosmetic problems and may require a considerable amount of reconditioning Rough - Several mechanical and/or cosmetic problems requiring significant repairs. This car is likely between Average and Rough. However, I'm betting that without a reserve the car will get more attention and will sell for more than the $4900 starting price. That's why it starts there. In my opinion, if you get this car for the rough condition price under Edmunds, you will get a great deal. We are on a tight timeframe and I don't want to waste time with a incomplete sale.
