Vehicle Detail

Early BMW, 1967, R60/2, Runs and Looks Great For sale is one used 1967 BMW, model R60/2 from Sagebrush Cycle in Texas.I bought this bike in 2014 from a friend of the family which owned it since 1995.The bike was running at the time so all we did was the normal servicing until about a year ago.It has about 15,000 miles on it so we went through the bike axle to axle and did a major servicing. In doing so we removed and cleaned the gas tank and carbs, reinstalled with new gas lines and inline filters. Installed a new coil with plugs and wires. All new control cables. It had a few leaks so we put new seals front and rear transmission, as well as the front and rear drive shaft. Front wheel and brake were inspected and no work was required. The rear brake shoes were saturated with oil from the leaking drive shaft so we replaced the shoes. It has a 600cc engine with a four speed transmission. It is set up to be a solo machine. The bike is mostly original except some of the hardware. The motor has been not been rebuilt, but does run great. After the carbs are tickled it starts on the first kick and runs nice and smooth. The cases, cylinders, and heads have no repairs or welds. We found a few scuffed fins on the heads and cylinders, but nothing that would keep it from cooling well. The wheels turn true and smooth. All spokes are tight, and the hubs are of the sealed type. The tires are new DURO’s on the front 3.50 x 18 and the rear is a DURO 3.50 x 18” and are in like new condition. IRC tubes and rim strips. The transmission is a 4-speed and shifts just fine. The clutch is clean and hold like it should. The brakes work as they should and stop the bike with confidence. The frame is nice and straight with no repairs and nothing cut off. The front fork is correct for a /2 and looks to be nice and straight. The handlebars are nice and straight with no welds. The bike tracks nice and straight down the road. Both of the spirals turn free and operate their cables properly. The saddle is in nice ridable condition. The generator and cut out were not wired, so they are untested. The generator is putting out nice as we never need to charge the battery. All lights and horn work as they should. The speedometer was changed out because I found one that wasn’t smashed on the bezel. A picture of the original shows the 14K, but add a 500 to the reading for the miles we have put on it over the last year. The paint is original. It is in fair shape and cleans up nice, but it’s not perfect. We saved everything that was used and came off the bike including a luggage rack and other goodies. All of this goes with the bike. No title. Bill of sale only. No Title. Never registered. Just been driving it all these years and never got a ticket. The bike does have matching frame and motor numbers, so it’s been together it’s whole life. I will ship this bike anywhere in the world at the buyer’s expense. I will assist with the shipping in any way I can. Crating or Disassembly for shipping will be extra. Some storage can be arranged. We will be attending the Motorcycle Cannonball in a September. A$500.00 deposit will be due within 24 hours of auction close, and the balance to be paid in cash upon pick up.
