Vehicle Detail
Project bike, about 90% finished. Many new parts, including seat, exhaust (aftermarket), coil, valves/guides, piston/rings, newer tires and a lot more. In good shape but still has some issues. The main issue is the carburetor. These bikes used a downdraft carb and no manifold. Carb is completely rebuilt but runs very rich (I'm at about 3600 ft altitude and rejetting may solve the problem, not sure) Floats are set correctly, etc. I think a manifold would help solve the issue as well. (avail. online at Dr ATV). Also, petcock leaks. Problems are solveable but I'm out of time and patience for it. Body/paint fair. Was painted before I bought it, about 8 years ago and it's not perfect. A couple of runs and a few chips, etc. Pushrod style engine and unlike the newer trail 90's, has dual rear sprockets (you have to add an extra length of chain for trail mode, included). Great little bike, definately a conversation piece. No title, Bill of sale only. Additional items to note: Headlight is not working, despite new bulb (problem appears to be in the handlebar switch hi/lo beam, which is also missing plastic knob) and taillight/brake light also not working (simple wiring, switch intact and working, I just haven't gotten around to working in that area), right side cover has crack (is intact and really cant see crack because it's below exhaust), transmission appears to shift through gears as it should, however because of the leaking petcock, I haven't ridden it, so I can't speak to the soundness of the transmission. Rear brakepads are new (and I have the front pads, which will be included. Brakes will need adjustment prior to riding. Brake levers on handlebars are mismatched. Please ask questions before the auction ends, I'll do my best to give you a clear picture of the condition of the bike. Keep in mind, this bike is used and it's 54 years old. It's in great shape for it's age but it is not in new condition.
