Restored to Original 1965 Beetle 1300 *SEE LARGE PHOTOS BELOW DESCRIPTION** This is a restored to stock 1965 VW Beetle. The restoration was done from the pan up, and all old paint has been stripped and professionally repainted. The body, interior, dash, engine compartment, and trunk have all been painted the original Bahama Blue. The pan was painted with POR-15. There are no scratches or dents. The car has an original gas heating unit, but I have not hooked it up. It was refurbished by the previous owner, but I have not tried to use it because I live in a warm climate. The car runs and starts great, it shifts smoothly, and it has a 1300 motor. I haven’t personally been through the motor, except for replacing some of the seals. The previous owner did some engine work. The restoration is nearly done, and we keep it garaged. CLICK HERE FOR HIGH RESOLUTION DETAILED PHOTOS Here’s a list of what was restored in the last 3 years: New tires and rims (aluminum aftermarket rimsEmpi Speedwell) Running boards Gas tank All new rubber throughout (doors, trunk, hood, windows, etc.) Retrosound stereo with one speaker (Aux and USB connections in the glovebox) New wiring harness Door panels Carpet and floor mats Headliner Roof rack Rear seal and push rod gaskets Brakes Seat covers New shocks New exhaust and tail pipes New turn signals, front and rear New chrome for front turn signals New chrome headlights with LED bulbs New retractable antenna Converted to 12 volt Professional paint job Seat belts (front and rear) New glove box There are a couple of minor things that still need to be restored. The windshield wipers are working, but they don’t have two speeds and they currently move back and forth too quickly, the engine compartment latch is missing the part that bolts to the body, the front bumper has some pitting in the chrome on the driver’s side, the 4 extra bumper bars are missing, and the horn isn’t working. I don’t have receipts for all the work that has been done, and the original mileage is unknown. There are no signs that the car has ever been in a wreck, no rust, and I have the clean Utah title.
