A 2001 BMW 530i WITH SPORTS PACKAGE! The 530i is one of BMW's quintessential midsize luxury sports sedans. It handles well and has a timeless, aggressive look that is still a head turner. This 530i with optional Sports Package comes equipped with a long list of standard equipment and soft Montana leather upholstery ($1275 extra). The vehicle has a sunroof and utomatic air conditioning, instead of the manual controls on the 525 models. This Sports Package edition also has 16-inch alloy wheels. The engine in this car is strong. The car has the more powerful 3.0-liter six-cylinder engine which generates 225 horsepower and 214 pounds-feet of torque. It is the successor to the more standard 528i. This model also has the Getrag five-speed manual gearbox, which works smooth as silk. The Steptronic shifter can either be driven in automatic mode or switched over to manual for better control on winding roads or heavy commuter traffic. The optional Sport Package also has an upgraded sports suspension for tighter and smoother control (extra $2,800). This is in addition to anti-lock brakes and an electronic stability program. This vehicle also comes with dual two-stage Smart front airbags (that can detect whether someone is in the passenger seat) and front door-mounted side-impact airbags. Brand new the car cost $46,455 (with all Sports Package options). This car has been well-maintained and serviced. It has many new parts, such as a new aluminum radiator, thermostat, water pump and new battery. New tires were also recently added. The AC blows cold and the sound system makes you think you're in a concert. The electrical system works well, and the power windows, sunroof and adjustable mirrors operate as they should. I just recently had the car tuned. At some point, the car will need an alignment and an ABS wheel sensor replacement. The sensor became faulty a week ago and it provides data for the odometer and speedometer. Apparently this is a common thing in these cars.
