For sale is a 1985 Ford Mustang LX. This is a project car and shoud be COMPLETELY gone over before attempting to put it on the road. I will try to cover everything about the car to the best of my knowledge. The car did not run when I purchased it (needed a starter). I installed a used starter and the car started right up. The engine is not the original one and to me seems like its a 302 out of a early 80's model F150 or something(just don't have the mustang tone to it). The car does have a BRAND NEW Holley 600cfm street warrior carb on it ($350 new). Engine runs well for what it is, but does have an exhaust leak. True miles are unknown...Automatic trans seems to go through the gears but to me it seems sluggish. I've always owned 5 speed Foxes so I'm not sure how the Auto's truely are supposed to feel when they shift (might need rebuilt, replaced or might be ok...Idk)...The car does have some rust issues as well. Needs front floor attention, fenders should be replaced. Quarter panels look like they have been worked with bondo at some point in time. Interior is actually pretty decent for what it is. Seats need a good cleaning but should clean up well. Missing spare tire cover and hatch carpet...This is a factory non A.C car with manual windows and power locks. Best part is it has no sunroof or t tops. The Cobra R wheels were chrome but someone decided to paint them silver..Not sure why! Tires are all in great shape. Brakes work but I believe the drivers front caliper is sticking but I honestly think if someone played with it they could free it up. I bought this car as you see it and never drove it on the road. I threw the starter on it, got it running, and know that it runs,drives, and stops. All the lights work, horn blows, blower motor for heat does not work and I haven't looked into it to know why. Having the issues the car has is why I'm going to say its a Project car. No its not perfect or the prettiest Fox around but I honestly feel like it has potential. If all else fails use it for parts. I have extra parts available for the car that will be included with the sale if I get my buy it now asking price. These are Black replacement body parts (doors,fenders...etc)from a 92 GT that I parted out. Any questions please feel free to ask
