More Pictures to Come 2006 Honda S2000 Beautiful Laguna Blue Pearl Very Low Mileage Pristine Unmolested Condition In this auction I have for sale my 2006 Honda S2000. It is in very close to showroom condition. I bought this S2000 on October 1, 2007. It was a single owner, garage kept, less than one year old dream car. It had only 2,136 miles on the odometer. I have now owned the car for over 10 years and it currently has only 15,555 miles. It has always been kept in my garage, prepped and stored properly for the winter months and never even driven in the rain. I have decided to sell this car because I am downsizing my collection and I just don’t drive it enough. In fact, this past year, I never made a single trip outside of our neighborhood. I joke with my son that each time I drive it it cost me $300. Which, if it were not for the fact that it is appreciating, would not be far from the truth. I have been tracking the car’s value for the last several years and it has appreciated in value beyond the price that I paid for it back in 2007. How many cars can you buy today that will be worth more one, five and ten years from now? The Honda S2000 is one of those cars. Back in 2013, Patrick George of Jalopnik.com nominated the S2000 as a future classic “not only because it is a fantastic machine, but also because its discontinuation left a vacuum in the sports car landscape that has yet to be filled.” He also said “I think that probably the closest thing to the S2000 today is the Porsche Boxster or the BMW Z4 with the turbo 2.0-liter four, but they're very different animals, and much more expensive ones. Nothing has the character the S2000 had.” The S2000 was also fifth on the list of “8 Japanese Cars That Will Be Worth Big Money” in the April 27, 2017 article on CheatSheet.com. Columnist Justin Lloyd-Miller said the S2000 is “a light, high-revving roadster that emphasized perfect weight distribution and driving dynamics over raw power. Like the NSX, the S2000 hasn’t seemed to have aged since its debut in 2000, and its performance only improved with time. Now a favorite of aftermarket tuners, the S2000 is starting to command higher dollars, especially those untouched from the factory.” If you made this far in my description I am not telling you anything you don’t already know so I’ll get back to the details of this particular vehicle. As you can hopefully see in the pictures everything is in Pristine condition. I don’t think that you can find a flaw in the convertible top or the interior of this car. The paint, although not perfect, is very close. Although I encourage everyone interested in this vehicle to come see it in person I realize this is not possible for most of you. I don’t want the buyer to feel I misrepresented the condition so I am going to be brutal in my assessment of this S2000. I am pointing out every little flaw that I am aware of because most of them are so small you would likely miss them in person and therefore certainly will not be able to detect them in the pictures. Flaws and Imperfections: Small dent and paint chip behind driver’s side door. Paint chip on rocker panel under driver’s side door. Indentation on bottom of front plastic air scoop. I am not sure if this is a positive or a negative but both the battery and all four tires are original with lots of tread remaining. This car is stock except for the following reversible modifications: K&N cold air intake system Custom installed Clarion DXZ865MP sound system paired to a Clarion APX4360 360 watt Amplfier and Clarion Subwoofer. I mentioned earlier that this car was prepped and stored properly for the winter months. Every fall the car was detailed inside and out and, regardless of how many miles were driven, the engine oil was changed with 100% synthetic oil and the filter was replaced with a new Honda filter. The air filter was inspected and sometimes blown clean with compressed air. Some years the car was put up onto jack stands and the tires were deflated to 20psi (As noted above the tires are still the originals). Every spring the car was again detailed inside and out. Except during the winter months, even if I didn’t otherwise drive the car, about once a month I drove it enough to get it up to operating temperature and then put it back in the garage. The vehicle comes with the following documentation – owner’s manual, security system instructions, supplemental restraint system guide, summary of coverages guide and the original window sticker that has unfortunately been torn. Also included are all three original keys, both remote entry/alarm key fobs and the original floor mats. You are encouraged to come see this spectacular vehicle in person.
