1978 BMW R80/7 with original Steib side car. The Steib side car is a 1957 year as near as I can tell from my research. This is a nice running bike!!! The side car is an original Steib, made in Germany. It has a serial number on it which appears to be 375775 but it is hard to read. See the Steib logo on the end of the wheel on the axle end. See picture. You are bidding on the package, the bike and the sidecar. No, I will not separate them. The buyer can do that if they so desire after purchase. The spokes are all tight and the wheels roll out straight. The bike starts, runs and rides well with all of the electronics working at the time of the listing. This is a running bike in very good condition that was repainted about 10 years ago. I have the clear title to the bike. The overall condition is very good. I have installed a new battery that cost me $119.00. It is a sealed battery. All systems are in working order at the time of the listing, however, since this motorcycle is 40 years old, I cannot warranty it, not can anyone selling a vintage motorcycle so please understand that before you bid. This is an original bike and has not been concours restored. The bike with the side car is very rare and well deserving to be in your collection if you are a serious BMW collector.I purchased it from an 86 year old man who is from Germany and said, "BMW's are the best motorcycles in the world."I love the bike.
