I have had this bike for many years. In the past year I rebuilt carbs, replaced tires and a small number of little things to make it nice and reliable. It is not my primary ride anymore and needs a new home or someone that has a XR500 restoration going and needs a very good donor bike. Somebody can buy it, ride it the next day, no problem. Feels great on the fire roads and always gets lots of comments and questions. The muffler installed is actually off a 2001 Suzuki DRZ that I put on there to make it quieter than the Supertrapp it replaced. The Bad:Loud valve train. Seat is ripped but works fine. No Tool Bag.No spare parts.
