Vehicle Detail
Up for sale today, a 1991 Infiniti M30 convertible. Car starts, runs and drives. That being said it does need some work. ***Car has been relisted due to issues I missed in the original listing. I was driving the car off and on while it was listed, and noticed it has a tendency to occasionally drop down into a rough idle, and sometimes sputter while accelerating from a stop. It "clears out" and then runs fine but it's no fun in traffic as I found out the hard way. I am sure it's in need of a tune up and does have old fuel in it. Sometimes it's fine, sometimes it has the issue. For this reason I strongly recommend trailering the car. The muffler rattles at idle but the exhaust is not loud, think maybe a hanger is bad or something. I also wanted to note that the wipers work but the washer pump does not work.*** I have lowered the opening bid and car is being sold without reserve. I am selling off my father’s estate and this car is part of it. It has not been regularly driven since the fall of 2016. The tires have good tread but dry rot. Transmission shifts firmly from 1-2 but otherwise fine, no slipping. Car goes down the road OK but does have a significant "shimmy" or vibration above 40MPH. It may be the tires or something more. Not sure if it did this before it was put away. Car has 97,250 miles and is assumed to be actual. Aftermarket radio does work but the display goes in and out from a loose faceplate. Power windows and locks work, but drivers side window switch could stand to be replaced. Top goes up and down fine. A/C and heat work. A/C is pretty cool, but not ice cold. I certainly still appreciated it today during the test drive before sale. Could be recharged but I think its still R12 currently. Lights work. No check engine or warning lights on. Car has a trailer hitch that would be good for pulling a small boat, jet ski or utility trailer. Cosmetically it’s not perfect by any means. The rockers and fenders have moderate rust-through. Also see some rust around the windshield frame. The dash has cracks, covered with carpet. Lower driver’s seat has been recovered and doesn’t match 100%. Top is a bit saggy but doesn’t seem to leak, interior is dry and we’ve had a lot of rain lately. A stick fell and broke off the power antenna. Body has dings and scratches. Bumpers have scuffs. Hood doesn't stay up. Carpet has some wear. It could be a cool engine swap project, parts car or summer cruiser. They did not make very many of these, I haven’t seen another one here in town. I have done my best to list everything I know about this M30. That being said it is not my car and I am not an expert on it. Please ask if you have any questions or would like to see it in person. ***CLEAN CARFAX*** https://www.carfax.com/api/consumers/6366722/report/email/ee2a4dbda512c6d29f4f5660cd239c31ab0f95514fbe2a08245c0837f9effa8b41b6c2e0978c9d23 It is being sold AS-IS, with NO RESERVE. CASH or Cashier’s Check payment due within 7 days of auction close. I am not a car dealer but if you want to do the leg work of setting up shipping, I can be around to help them load it, etc. Car is located in Southeastern Wisconsin. Again, I wouldn’t drive it long distance, recommend bringing a trailer.
