Vehicle Detail
This is a NO RESERVE auction for my 2014 BMW K 1600 GTL w/ 3200 original miles. I am the original owner. I have a free and clear title, in my name, in hand. This motorcycle is not for sale locally, I will not end the auction early. The only way to buy this motorcycle is by being the high bidder right here on e-Bay. You're welcome to inspect and test ride the motorcycle prior to bidding with VALID license and VALID full-coverage insurance. If I can't take pictures of you, your driver's license, and your VALID full-coverage insurance card, then you can't test ride my motorcycle. The motorcycle is 100% functional, ready to go, needs absolutely nothing. The motorcycle starts, idles, runs, rides, shifts, operates just like a brand new one. New BMW battery in Fall 2017, new BMW fuel pump March 2018. If you're not familiar with the fuel pump issue on these motorcycles you'd be well served to do some research on it. In short, if you make the mistake of allowing this motorcycle to sit for an extended period of time, with fuel containing ethanol, untreated, you too will have the pleasure of a $750.00 fuel pump replacement bill. It's a good bet that any modern BMW motorcycle, with this low of mileage, has had the fuel pump replaced. I'm told that if you ride them regularly, use fuel that doesn't contain ethanol, or properly treat your ethanol containing fuel, you won't have a fuel pump problem. I'm willing to provide a ride from, and back to, Kansas City International Airport (airport code MCI) for anybody who would like to fly in to inspect the motorcycle before bidding. I'm also willing to pick-up the winning bidder at KCI Airport if you're interested in riding the motorcycle back home. Color: Dark Graphite Metallic. Has BMW Garmin navigation system, heated grips, heated seat (passenger and driver are heated independent of each other), three different ride modes (all three adjustable electronically), electronic suspension adjustment, AM/FM radio w/ speakers, electronically adjustable wind shield, cruise control, satellite radio, ABS, Xenon self-leveling/adaptive headlight, power accessory socket (right side), dynamic traction control, central locking system (one button locks/unlocks all cargo and storage compartments), LED fog lights, and tire pressure monitoring system. Everything works exactly as it is/was intended. This motorcycle is big, strong, sexy, and not for amateurs or inexperienced riders. The bike is 100% stock (with the exception of adding the BMW Garmin navigation). MOTORCYCLE TITLE I've posted a good quality picture of my title. The information on the title doesn't square with my claim that I'm the original owner of the motorcycle. I applied for new title on every vehicle I own in February 2018 in order to add/change the transfer on death beneficiary. Let me be clear that I am the original owner of this motorcycle. I purchased it as a brand new machine from Engle BMW in Kansas City, MO in the Summer of 2014 and titled it, in my name, at that time. With the exception of factory and dealership personnel, I have been the only operator of this motorcycle since it was brand new. I can't offer any intelligent explanation for why the State of Kansas does it like this..but they do. CONDITION OF MOTORCYCLE I'm not quite bold enough to say it's cosmetically perfect...but it's awful close to perfect. I am bold enough to say it's mechanically perfect. I've changed the engine oil and filter every Spring and Fall regardless of mileage. I did the 1000 mile service myself. The unused BMW gear oil from the 1000 mile service will go with the new owner if they want it (open container). This motorcycle has never been laid down, tipped over, dinged into, or anything else that would be of interest. Again, I'm the original owner of this motorcycle. When not being ridden, this bike has spent it's entire life in a climate controlled garage/basement, covered under a pair of used bed sheets. I'm more than happy to take and send additional photos and answer any questions. HERE ARE THE RULES FOR MY AUCTION NO Paypal for any portion of this transaction. I will not accept paypal for a deposit, purchase, or any portion of this transaction. I will accept cash, cashier's check, or some combination of the two. I must be able to verify your cashier's check with the financial institution that issued it. If you're going to pay w/ a cashier's check, and pick-up the motorcycle sometime other than your bank's normal business hours, you'll need to send me an image of the check before picking up. If I can't verify your funds, then you can't take delivery of the motorcycle. I don't mean to be difficult, but thievery does still exist. The motorcycle MUST be paid for and picked up within 15-days of auction end. If the winning bidder hasn't picked up the motorcycle within 15-days of auction end, the runner up bidder will have a shot at it before relisting. My message to the winning bidder is this: When you get here, and we take the cover off this motorcycle, if you don't find it to be completely stunning, simply say so and we can go to work on jointly cancelling your winning bid. If the winning bidder walks away, the motorcycle will be offered to the runner up bidder. I've been on e-Bay, under the same user name, since July 2000. Look at my feedback. When I say it operates just like a new one, this is exactly what I mean. REASON FOR SELLING I'm a motorcycle enthusiast with more enthusiasm than time to ride. My 2002 Road King Classic is sitting right next to this BMW with 7200 original miles on it. I'm just now in the process of replacing the factory tires on the Harley. I'd love to keep this BMW, but I simply can't justify it (and I can find plenty of ways to justify my toys). I simply don't ride as much as I'd like. I'm self-employed in two different businesses and completely tied to my mobile phone. SHIPPING I am willing to work with YOUR shipping provider, assuming such a service even exists. Your shipping provider is welcome to pick up the motorcycle at my home in Bonner Springs, KS 66012. It is my opinion that shipping is a bad idea, I recommend against it. What you do with your motorcycle is your business, after I've been paid in full.
