1971 Honda Z50

Rebuilt, Rebuildable & Reconstructed

This is a 1971 Honda Z50A K2. It runs and rides great! I was planning on restoring it, but have too many pokers in the fire now. I did however do some preliminary repairs to get it operational. The top end was rebuilt with a new piston, rings, jug, and head. The carburetor was rebuilt and new air cleaner installed. New points, plug and condenser were installed. Front brakes and steering stem bearings installed. Drive chain and sprocket are new. Rear brake hub and tire tube are new. Handle bars were removed, cleaned and lubed so they fold as intended. All cables were lubed. Brake levers are new. Lights and ignition switch are in working condition. Original tools are mounted under seat. There are some defects I'd like to point out other than the more obvious that can be seen in the pics. The left side rear axle plate is damaged as shown in pics. The kick start lever has been welded to the shaft. The fuel tank has been brazed in the front. Fuel tank does not leak. The bike is mostly original except for the parts that I mentioned as being new and the emblem in the headlight bucket. Ride it as is or restore it!
