Vehicle Detail
Here is a rare opportunity to own an iconic motorcycle. This is a 1982 Honda CBX1000 with 12K miles and in truly excellent condition. I purchased the bike from the second owner, who had owned it since 2001.1982 is the last year for this iconic model. The engine was rated 100–103 hp. As of 1981 the Honda added the Pro-Link mono shock rear suspension, air-adjustable 39 mm front forks and large dual ventilated front brake rotors. This is a very nice example of a stock, unmolested and unrestored motorcycle. As you can see in the pictures, the motorcycle looks like in new condition. However, it is not new and there are a couple of little items we’d like to point out:There are some slight wear on the left fairing edge and some minor scratches on the hard bags. Nothing big, but if you look closely, you’ll notice them. Also, there is an imperfection on the blue stripe in the very back of the front fender (please refer to the pictures provided) If you want more details or pictures, just ask. The bike is in Bellevue, WA and you are welcome to inspect in person as well or send out an inspector. Although the motorcycle came to me as you see it in the pictures, I have completed the following work in the last 60 days – all work performed by specialist shop in the Seattle area:* Complete carburetor rebuild with all parts from Tim’s CBX. This included not only the master rebuild kit, but also fuel needles* New OEM carburetor insulator boots* Complete service with oil, oil filter, spark plugs and air filter.* New front and rear tires* Brakes were inspected, clean and flushed* Front and rear master cylinders rebuilt with OEM parts – new front master reservoir installed.* Complete detail from top to bottom.* Pingel high flow petcock. The bike starts quickly every time and rides very well. It shifts just fine through all gears and all controls and electrics work as they should. The bike also comes with service manual and the original sales brochure. Payment: A $500 deposit via Paypal must be made within 24 hours of auction’s end. The balanced must paid within 7 days. Contact me with questions about payment before bidding.Shipping: I can certainly assist with shipping and keeping the bike while shipping is arranged. However, all arrangements must be made and paid for by the winning bid. Also, all funds must clear before the bike is release and documents mailed to the new owner. On May-16-18 at 15:14:14 PDT, seller added the following information: Bids from anywhere in the world are of course accepted.
