Up for auction is this very nice and desirable '46 Dodge Coupe! The car looks to be sporting its original soft blue paint. It has its original flathead six engine that runs great, idles smoothly,never smokes at any time and runs cool. The car holds 45 lbs oil pressure at operating temp. It has the original fluid drive transmission and it shifts smoothly and pulls the car with no slippage. The throw-out bearing growls slightly from sitting, but has become less noisy each time I take it out for a ride. I've been driving this car almost daily for about a month with no problems. It keeps up good with highway traffic and has a lot of pep. It handles and rides nice with its new radial tires. It will go easily and has a cool speedo option where the speedo light changes color the faster you go! That looks really awesome! The paint is original and has just minor little dings from use over its 72 yr. life, however, it still very sharp looking. I would describe it as daily driver quality. I has one spot shown in the pictures where it blistered and was toughed up at some point but lends to nice used look patina. The glass is all good with no cracks. The interior has a brand new headliner, door panels and very nice seats. It could use new rubber floor mat up front. The existing mat is intact, but is cracked around the foot feet area. The dash is very nice and unmolested. The gauges are nice and all work along with the heater that blows on low, med., and high. The dome light works on low and high. The gas gauge is working, however, does not appear to be accurate. The car has a nice visor. Engine bay and trunk are nice clean & dry. The car has original rims & nice hubcaps. The bumpers could use re-chroming. All the stainless trim is on the car and is in real nice shape. This is a very desirable sporty coupe body style and yet has room for 6 passengers. It rides really nice. I would drive this car anywhere without any worries. Beautiful art-deco styling. I sure the new owner will be thrilled to own & cruise in this piece of automobile history.
