Vehicle Detail
This is a 1956 Lincoln Continental Mark ll 2 door hardtop. This car is a great project that will ultimately be a great investment. The car has 70,532 Original Miles. The original 368 engine and the original 2 speed automatic transmission are rebuilt and ready to be put back in the car. The steering and front end components have also been restored/replaced and the front frame section has been painted with Eastwood chassis black. Most of the trim and small pieces have been removed in preservation for painting but we have all the parts for the car (see pics). The interior is in really good shape and will not take much to be restored. The dash and gauges are clean, crisp and bright. The doors open and close like new. We bought this car many years ago just the way you see it in the pictures, we just never got around to finish the restoration. The floor pans look good and solid with only 2 of the cross braces with a little rust thru. There is a little rust at the front body horns but I hear that’s common on these and a flat piece of metal welded in is the basic fix. Over all not a rusty car in my opinion. The glass in the car is clean and bright with no fogging or cracks anywhere. The weatherstripping is even in great condition . All of the trim and moldings are in excellent condition and do not need to be restored. Almost everything on this car is in good to excellent condition which will make for a much easier restoration. The tires are brand new Coker white walls with 0 miles on them. The bumpers are strait with no dings or dents that I can see. The headliner is even in excellent condition in this car. This is a great car to restore because of the condition of all the parts. It even has the original hubcaps and they are in excellent condition as well. I have more pictures I can either email or send thru messenger or I can take some with my phone and tex them. We hope this car goes to a great home and someone who appreciate’s how great these old Lincoln’s are. We will be happy to answer any question you have and provide any additional information you need. Tex or message is better than email as I don’t really check email on a regular basis. We have a clear title on this car. The car rolls and steers very well with no brake issues so loading in a trailer will be easy. Please message us with any questions. We actually have another car just like this that We will be selling as well but this auction is for the gray car in the pics.
