1974 Lincoln Continental Mark IV, UNRESTORED in beautiful condition. A Southern California, 44 year one family car, garaged since new. Purchased in Ventura, California by the original owner. He used the car sparingly until 1998, then gave it to his 55 year old son that lives locally (son now 75 years old). The son kept it in a very large garage on his ten acre property. The title was transferred into the son's name after his father passed away. The history and mileage of this car is fully documented and can be verified. It has current registration with the original issue California blue license plate. This Mark IV has been cared for it's whole life so you are not getting into a project. BODY & PAINT: The paint is original, has a great shine and shows beautifully. No door dings or collision damage. Any imperfections in the paint are minor so they don't detract from the overall appearance. As stated above, the car has always been garage-kept. Excellent factory fitment of the doors, hood, deck, etc . Chrome and stainless is really nice although the lower portion of the rear bumper shows some dullness above the exhaust pipes. All of the glass throughout is excellent, factory original, including the windshield. All the rubber window and trunk seals are still soft and without any cracking. The engine compartment has not been detailed. Underneath has not been cleaned or detailed so nothing has been covered-up or hidden. INTERIOR: The leather on all the seats is very nice, still soft and pliable. There are no cracks in the dash pad. Door panels are excellent. Carpet (including trunk) is original and looks good. DRIVE TRAIN: is original with everything operating properly and smoothly as a low mileage car should. The engine and engine compartment retains the original factory markings OPTIONAL FACTORY EQUIPMENT: Leather Interior, Speed (cruise) control, Power door locks and power unlock button for trunk, AM-FM-Multiplex with 8 Track Stereo Tape Player, Tilt Steering Wheel, Interval windshield wipers, Appearance Protection Group (door edge guards and protective side molding), Electric rear window defroster, Dual exhaust system, Right-Hand remote mirror control, Dual illuminated vanity mirrors. MISCELLANEOUS DETAILS: I put four new tires on the ground with the correct original size whitewall width. Recent service includes testing and servicing the automatic climate control system. It blows cold A/C and heat automatically. Engine oil, oil filter, air filter, gas filter, antifreeze changed. Within the last year or so the brake booster and master cylinder were replaced, brakes inspected and fluid changed as part of the servicing. The original license plate has not been restored or repainted. The original clock works when it feels like it so probably needs cleaning. The odometer reading when I placed the ad is certified as original, true and correct. INCLUDED IN SALE: Signed vehicle history and odometer statement by original owner's son. Original keys, Original Owner Manual and miscellaneous papers. Upon completion of sale, you will receive the clear, signed off California title and current California registration.
