Very Nice Original 1974 Honda ST90 Here we have for sale a very nice, original 1974 Honda ST90. I bought this motorcycle from the original owners who stored it away many many years ago. They had the top end rebuilt and then put it away in storage. I have gone through the bike to make sure it runs smoothly and soundly. I did a partial restoration on the bike. I wanted to keep the originality of the bike with the original yellow paint and chrome but I restored all the black on the bike with new powder coat. I put a brand new, oem style seat that matches the original style seat perfectly. I put brand new oem style tires on the bike. I rebuilt and tuned the carburetor and put a new genuine Honda air cleaner in the bike. All of the parts I replaced on the bike are either exact genuine Honda replacements or they are aftermarket replacements that match the original part exactly. I checked and adjusted the timing and adjusted the valves. The bike now starts up first kick, as a properly tuned Honda should. I adjusted the carb so the bike starts and idles smoothly. I put a new battery in the bike and all of the electrical works on the bike. The horn, lights, dash lights, all work properly on the bike. I put a new chain on the bike. I restored the turn signals and put new genuine Honda turn signals and lenses on the bike. They are exact replacements of the originals. I restored the exhaust pipe with special heat coating powder coat. It has all new screws holding the new powder coated heat shield to the pipe. I powder coated the footpeg assembly and put new rubber pegs on the bike. The paint on the bike is in nice shape for being original. There is some chips and battery acid dripped on the right side of the frame and burned the paint off slightly. It’s minor but it is visible. The bikes controls are all intact. The handlebars and straight with nice chrome. The bike has its original cables on the bike that are in fair condition, the outside sheathing is hard and brittle on them. The speedometer cable just broke today so I will be ordering a new cable. But since they only come in black now, I will replace the front brake cable too, which will also be black. The chrome on the rims are nice and shiny. The spokes show some patina on them but are still nice. The front forks have leaky seals and can be replaced if the new owner desires. The fenders on the bike are really nice with nice shiny, original chrome. The bike still has its original tool kit that will come with it. The original kick starter lever has been welded at the end. I am afraid to grind the weld and remove the kick starter because I’m not sure if the teeth on the kick starter lever are bad or the shaft. I have the original owners California title that will come with the bike too. Overall this is a real nice bike that runs and rides great. I checked all the important aspects of the bike to make sure it runs well, and that it now does. With the new seat, powercoated black parts, and new tires, the bike is a nice, presentable motorcycle. These are almost like the deluxe model of the CT70. It uses the same frame, but has larger spoke wheels, a larger 90cc engine, and more. The ST90 is one of the most collectible Honda Trail bikes today. They are rare to find in nice, running condition like this one. The bike is not perfect, but I’m sure the new owner will be proud to own this bike to take camping or ride around their property. I accept cash, check, or money order as forms of payment.
