2000 Mustang Saleen S281 SC #00-0948 Very clean & highly optioned 2000 Saleen S281SC- 4.6 Supercharged motor with 5 speed transmission. All power options including power windows, power door locks, power seat, tilt wheel, cruise control, leather interior, rear defrost & Mach 460 stereo. This car has been in TN since 2008. I sold it in 2010 & it stayed in Nashville until I purchased it back last year. Car has been well cared for, not abused & is spotless inside, out & underneath. Paint & interior are original & in excellent condition. Clean title history & I have all the manuals, window sticker & certificate of authenticity. I also have a book of receipts for all service/maintenance that has been performed over the past 8+ years. In addition to the standard Saleen features this car also was originally equipped with the following- Saleen Series I Supercharger 18x10 rear wheel upgrade Chrome wheels Saleen Performance Differential Saleen 13” Alcon Brakes Saleen Speedster package Saleen Floor Mats Saleen Carbon Fiber Package (interior trim, shift knob & side mirrors) Car is listed in the Saleen Registry & shows in options as Demonstrator car but the letter of authenticity does not mention anything about that. The first time I owned this car I installed the 01 up OEM GT hood scoop, OEM 03-04 Cobra headlights & 03-04 Cobra grill delete. EXTERIOR- Original silver paint in excellent condition. All decals in great shape. I installed a new windshield banner about 3 months ago. Original convertible top in great shape with no tears or rips. Saleen Speedster Cover is included & in excellent shape with no chips or scratches. I had a bag/cover made for the Speedster Cover while not in use. INTERIOR- Original Ford leather in great shape with little if any wear showing. I replaced the original headrest with OEM Halo style headrest. I have the original headrest & they are included. Original carpet in excellent condition. All original Mach 460 stereo system still functions like new. Leather wrapped steering wheel is like new. I installed S281 carpeted door inserts I purchased from Saleen. DRIVETRAIN- Original supercharged 4.6L 2v motor has been serviced regularly. 5 speed transmission shifts smooth with no issues. When I previously owned this car the original Saleen wheels had chrome peeling. I replaced the wheels with replicas & sent the originals with the car when I sold it in 2010. When I bought it back last year the original peeling wheels were not with it. All center caps are in great shape. I have all receipts where the previous owner had maintenance done to the car within the last 8k miles. These receipts include a new fuel pump, front brakes, oil changes etc. Since I purchased the car last year the following has been done & less than 500 miles since- New Bridgestone tires (265/35-18 front & 295/35-18 rear) New clutch New MGW Shifter New MoSaleen pulley upgrade New Steeda Bumpsteer kit w/alignment New spark plugs New Fuel filter New Ford hood insualtion Module/Timer that controls the intercooler pump & fan was rebuilt & upgraded. Car has an off-road X-pipe on it which really wakes up the Borla Exhaust installed by Saleen. I have the original catted H-pipe which will be included. All the original Racecraft suspension is still in place. Car runs strong & drives straight. Needs nothing to my knowledge & is a blast to drive. KNOWN ISSUES- I touched up a paint chip on the truck. Very small but I know it’s there. As stated earlier the original Saleen rims have been replaced by replicas but are same size as originals. OTHER- I’ve tried to list everything I know about this car but if you have any questions feel free to email me & if you’re more comfortable speaking on the phone I’ll be happy to provide my number. Window sticker shows original MSRP was $51909. That’s allot of money today & was definitely allot 18 years ago. NADA shows average retail value of $21900 & that’s with no options. My reserve is well below that figure. I love the car & the only reason I’m considering selling is to go back to a Z06 Corvette, which is what I had prior to this. I’ve also pondered a 2005 up Saleen convertible. Something to keep in mind. The Speedster cover is not heavy but is large. It will not fit inside the car with the top up. With that being said, buyer would need to either install the Speedster cover & drive home top down or have the means to haul the cover home. It will fit in the rear of a small SUV but will not fit in the car with the top up. TERMS OF SALE- Vehicle is 18 years old & is being sold AS IS WHERE IS with NO WARRANTY.
